Hello from an excited Newbie in Bixby Oklahoma!!

So sorry to see you are dealing with these issues. You have the right attitude though, when its all said and done you will be loving swimming in that pool and spending time with your family! Maybe they can re stain the concrete decking one more time all at once to get a more uniform color? I...

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Thank you, it's funny peacock was my first choice. I still love that tile, yours looks awesome!, but my wife fell in love with the SBBS. Obviously she won that battle, but I can say that I do love it now that it is installed. We are so happy with the water, I will update some more pics now that...

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Thanks Kim, they are fiber optic lights and the type of epoxy they used apparently was too strong and shattered the strands. They are very thin and fine strands that go to the lights. In the end it is OK, the PB owned it 100% and did not make excuses. We are getting the 3k back so we just used...

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

So no star floor after all. PB used wrong epoxy and it destroyed all the lights. Only way to fix would be to chip out tanning ledge plaster and re do the lights. Not wanting to drain pool and risk plaster not matching.

New (or soon to be!) Build - Humble, Texas

Looks great! I really like your selections, we did travertine decking and split face like you have (different colors) and love it. I'm sure it will look great.

Those are being cut and capped today. They are air intakes for the hydrotherapy jets in my spa, they help the jets to get really powerful from what I understand.

Not yet, they are troubleshooting at the moment. The fiber strands light up but not the floor yet, hopefully that is figured out soon!

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Thanks! I have a couple but low quality cell phone pics, here they are. I am going to get some better quality pics and more of the finished product as the water clears, the kitchen and firepits are hooked up, and we get things cleaned up a little.

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Thanks, I do have a lot more pics to post as we are near complete now. I just hope they don't keep posting upside down. We are actually in Leander so we will see how crazy the codes are in time I guess, thanks for the heads up though good things to keep in mind.

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

So I have been super busy last few months and have slacked on the updates, sorry. Three little ones under the age of 6 can do that I guess. Anyway I have a ton of pics to show progress so hope you don't mind. As of right now we are waiting on all this rain to let up to be able to get finishing...

Pool Build - Round Rock, TX - February 2016

Great looking pool! We are in Leander and nearing the finish line here as well. I really like the design and materials you chose, it is very "clean" looking and just flows perfectly. Kind of just has a calming effect when looking at the pics. Congrats and enjoy, looks like you are set for great...

Need advice on this bid. Seems high

I would agree with the other posters here that it seems a little high as well. We are currently in the middle of our build with an Austin builder. We are in Leander. It is my second pool to build in the Austin area and I interviewed many builders between the two pools. Having just built our...

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Travertine has arrived and they are supposed to start laying it on Saturday. 13 pallets were delivered! I think the variation in the pavers looks great. Can't wait to see.

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Thanks guys, to be honest I am still a little hesitant on the tile. The travertine and split face I love but the tile I will have to see when done. I am more of the blue tile kind of look, but my wife got final veto power here. I do like that it is different, and when it is a whole spa or wall...

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Kim, almost forgot about that thanks for reminding me. The decking, coping will all be travertine pavers. The fire pit, columns of the cabana, columns on pool, and deck side spa will be the split faced travertine. The Irridescent tile will be spa, waterline, and back of raised wall in pool...

    Hello fellow Austin pool folks

Thanks, The outbuilding we built when we built the house, we knew we were building a pool. We moved in in May and now are settled enough to start the pool. The "pool house" I guess you could call it has a bathroom a storage closet on the side for chemicals etc and a small home gym. The spa...

    Yet another Texas pool build!

Pool looks great, plaster color so nice in the sunlight love that color. I have lurked through your build for some time and I'm so glad you are finally through the headaches. Your persistence has paid off because your pool is beautiful, all the little details like the deck and back wall-railing...
