i ran an extension cord to a building next to the pool from a outlet that is attached to the pool power . could that cause it?

i changed my vinyl liner in my in ground pool and refilled with brown city water. i added recommended chemicals and brought the salt levels back to 3100. all my readings are in range. the pool has a green tint otherwise clear. no problem seeing the bottom. i have shocked it 2 times with 6 lbs...

i recently changed sand and checked it out. it looks larger than the sand that i replaced. the sand i used was quickrete 20/40. i don't no what size i had to start with. i did compare them and the sand i replaced looks smaller.

well i filtered 2 days 24 hrs a days with very little success. so i pumped about 2 1/2 feet out and now filling back up. maybe this will help me clear it up.

thanks for the testing info. i started my pool to filtering last night before i went to work. it's been filtering about 14 hours. don't seem to be clearing up. do you think that just filtering by itself will get the phosfloc out?

yes, it's been over 24 hours i've put the pump back on . i guess i will try to filter it out. do i need to shock or anything?

right now my pump is off due to trying to get phosfloc to settle to bottom. man i wish i hadn't put that Crud in my pool! anyway, my chlorine is not there because i've had my pump down .ph 7.2 ak 100 . do i need to keep trying to get it to settle or start my pump to try to filter it out?

what would cause phosfloc not to fall to the bottom of the pool? and how to remove it if it doesn't?

i checked my ph and it had fallen to 6.8 from 7.2. i looked at the directions of the fhosfoc and the ph should be 7.2 - 7.8. i brought the ph back up to 7.4. hoping it will fall to the bottom now.

and by the way, does anyone have any ideas on what i may try to clear this pool. thanks

well the pool is a total mess now, super cloudy 14 hrs after adding the phosflock. i guess i'm going to try to filter it out and start over again. :(

thanks for the reply.yes i back washed the filter. the problem started after putting the metal magic in. i guess i should have waited for a reply.i put the phosfloc in and the pool has turned milky. will this fall out? thanks :(
