My hayward heat pump is telling me pool temp is 15 degrees higher than actual temp.temp sensor maybe.anyone have this problem

I have the pentair circular weirs, they came with my pool and they work great.

I contacted the manufacturer and hayward said the flow switch is designed to protect the unit and should not be tampered with.

It looks like an inline chlorinator,could there be an issue with that?

Just unscrew the union,tighten the piece in the pump and reattach the union.

How much is an automation system with that capability?it is a hayward pump

My heat pump wont work on low speed either, the 2 speed pump was a waste of money.

When you first start heating the pool the difference in the temperatures from return and water feel like there is a small rise in temp.Once the water gets warmer the difference seems to feel more pronounced.

If its a propane heater it is probably the smell of burning money.

I usually make a small fold on the end of the cover to double it up when attaching the straps.

Glad to hear it,i have been swimming in 88 degree water since may first.Definetly need a heater in my climate, To me it was worth the money because the pool itself was such a big investment.With the heat pump we will be able to use it more often.

I take it out when it's done.i run it whenever the bottom gets dirty,varies with time of year.

If changing to real de doesnt work, The brass piece might be part of a rubber flapper that goes in the pipe where the pump connects to the bottom of the filter.it is a one way valve that stops water and de from flowing back into the pump.im not sure if that flapper could get caught in the pipe...

By the time you modified a large home ac unit with a different chemical resistant heat exchanger,water pressure switch,water temperature sensor,thermostat ,etc,you might as well just buy one designed for a pool.

The pool heat pump condensers are water cooled by the pool pump, as the water flows through the titanium coated heat exchanger it picks up the heat and sends it to the pool.a home unit is air cooled and would not work, plus a pool heat pump is a larger unit than most homes use.my pool heat pump...

i have a hayward heat pro I think it was 2500.00. Works great.They are basically an ac unit,I think all of the brands that are ahri certified should perform similar.

i have the same size pool get one thats over 100,000 btu.It will run less and you can time it to run during the warmer parts of the day when it's most efficient.

I have a rubberized pad under my heat pump , no problems with it.I think it was originally made for ac condensing units.I seem to remember an ad on the internet for a complete line of pads for pool equipment.

i have a heat pump in erie pa.It helps me extend the season a month on either side of the season(may thru sept).But i use a solar blanket,without it the 87 degree temp during the "fringe" months probably would not be possible.
