It was a thought. I do so like the clean look of the steps outside the pool area.

    Thermoplastic pool step question

I was the recipient of a 27' above ground, round steel wall pool. I plan on setting it up in the next 2 weeks. A friend has a steel sided pool with concrete bottom, vinyl liner and thermoplastic resin steps. I was wondering if anyone has incorporated these type steps with this type pool. I do...

    Where to purchase top rails

Thank you for the replies. I am hoping I can get away with a non metal top rail. Update on dimensions. 27 ft across and 52" sidewall and each top rail is just over 53". Everything is galvanized except for the post caps which are plastic. I am trying to get the installation documentation now...

    Where to purchase top rails

I was given an above ground pool and have to take it down myself. I am pretty sure the top rails are galvanized and some of them have rust through pinholes. 1-Where can I purchase new ones? 2-Can I change over to non metal ones? I have no idea what types of pool it is. It is large, 19 sections...

    Any car guys/gals here?

Any one with any car is welcome to come. Let me reiterate, it is NOT a show, just a get together to make new friends and see old friends. My car doesn't look half as good as any you have posted. But, it is what I always wanted and it is mine. Beside, it isn't so much about the cars as it is the...

    First TF-100 test results

I didn't test it last night. I will tonight. Pump 24/7 for almost 2 weeks. How will I go about getting the TA down? Also, what are ideal levels for my pool? My niece has the same pool and I want to get her started on this method. Her water turned green and my nephew drained and refilled. After...

I replaced water last night and then added approximately 100 oz of Clorox. These are my numbers as of 6am today. Faint cloudiness. I can still see the bottom of the pool, but the blue squares are not as blue. Also, replaced filter with a cleaned on last night after the water add...

    First TF-100 test results

The pink/red swirl at the bottom appeared after 16 drops. I switched tips on the bottles. The drops were larger this time. However, to get the WHOLE solution to turn, it took 25 drops.

I had not emptied the CYA test yet. When I looked again, I ended up at about 55. So, bleach only at this point? Floating tabs are out. The only things in the water right now are the ladder, skimmer and dolphin thermometer.

    Hi from Verona, NC

Thanks for the replies. I have been reading as many posts in as many topics as possible. Keeping the girls out of the pool has not been hard this week. It has rained enough that the water is down to 80* and the threat of thunderstorms keeps them inside. Looks like the test kit will arrive today.

 Hi all. I scored a good deal on an Intex 18' X 42" metal frame pool last year at a yard sale. Pool, pump, ladder and 10 extra filters for $75. I was referred to this site over the weekend and ordered a test kit. I got the email that DHL will be delivering it this week. I have...
