New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

Shipment arrived on time today, so a quick review. TFP and Marina Pool & Spa are awesome This was a replacement for a Dolphin Premier that basically cratered after being in use since 2019. If you need parts or need a power unit (2023) let me know. Install time 15 minutes. Probably less...

    Hayward W3AQ-TROL-RJ w/ T-CEL-5...Salt Reading Off

Since I was going with the opposite issue of a cell indicating it was initially low on salt and after replacing the cell do to age it was high salt, I was reminded often to not trust the read outs and buy your own kit.

New T-15 Cell Showing High Salt and Timing Out

I think I finally got it so the system is happy. Will see, but will continue to drain/refill as necessary. The system board is Crud if it was that far off, but I guess you already know that. I agree test strips are not the best, but that was what was available. Also, I feel bad at times...

New T-15 Cell Showing High Salt and Timing Out

Thank you. Pool Store reading was 7,000 so did a partial drain and refill. Currently according to the diagnostics, it around 6,400, but less than 10 amps. The salt reading is saying 4,300. I bought some test strips and will double check in the morning once it finishes topping off. Is...

New T-15 Cell Showing High Salt and Timing Out

Replaced an old cell that was showing low salt and planning on cleaning it as a backup in case it has life. Will try to reinstall after checking salt levels at Pool Store. Installed new cell and it is currently showing 6,400 ppm (checking actual salt levels next), but have added plenty of...

    Hayward Goldline Pro Logic Control

Updates from several weeks ago: Recently started having the primary pump "short cycle" and automatically turn off when running manual (after about 30 minutes). Secondary pump will run in manual with no issues. Resolution - Flow Sensor as noted above. SWG (T-15) says there is no flow, so it...

    Test Kit Link

Thanks for the clarification. I recall them being the same a long time ago (but probably never paid attention). I like to help people who directly/indirectly help me when I can.

    Hayward Goldline Pro Logic Control

Update 1: Bypassing the flow sensor worked when ran in manual. I need to confirm that it is running the full filtration cycle later tonight. Pulled the sensor to check for obvious debris etc and found part of a check valve that was recently added when the replaced the heater. Cleared and...

    Test Kit Link

Thank you! I was looking myself to replace my old one. Thanks to this forum, most of it is fairly straight forward on how to maintain your pool. Happy to support them some more through the test kit.

    Hayward Goldline Pro Logic Control

Thank you for the response and ideas. The SWG has an external flow switch in a T in your plumbing. They often fail. Easy to unscrew it from the T and replace it. I will check tomorrow with day light. I would not be surprised that the cell went out after this summer's heat and its age. I...

    Hayward Goldline Pro Logic Control

Thank you in advance for any guidance. Thankfully my pool has largely been "trouble free" due to this forum, but 10 years of operation are starting to take its toll. Issues that I am seeing are as follows and trying to figure out the best way to troubleshoot: Recently started having the...

New EVO 614i Robot Pool Cleaner Review

Do you know if you have to call them for the TFP discount as well or is there a specific online code? My Dolphin Premier is starting to spit out parts. It is 4 years old so not going to be worth fixing.

New Pool Quote Central TX - need advice

Built last year with an independent builder (yours looks more "national"), prices seem high for what is being offered. Since the independent needs to do warranty work and is slow responding, screw him and I will not recommend (for now). PM me for details.

    Neglect - Thank you!

For what it is worth - I admit I was lazy.... Thank you to the forum for all of their knowledge they provide. I "closed" our Central Texas pool in early November (e.g. stopped swimming in it). I also stopped checking chemical balances for several month, however, I "gauged" what was needed...

    Ocean Blue vs. Prism Blue

Sorry for the delay - 7 foot deep at the Grotto, about 4 feet at the hot tub, and 3 at the table which is just to the right. Not very good for sports since I always get stuck on the deep end, but the extra depth for jumping into is nice.

Picture of Prism Blue. Ours also has "sparkles" that pick up the sun very nicely. We studied many and liked this one the best [attachment=0:ac44etaj]042.jpg[/attachment:ac44etaj]

A skimmer that I've never seen before..how do I replace this

Re: A skimmer that I've never seen before..how do I replace Maybe I am over simplifying things, but it sounds like you are going to replace the skimmer and the pipe regardless. If so, this becomes more of a remodel type question and the only complicating factor is likely different size...
