Pool store came today. New filter defective. They replaced it with another new fikter

I Never use pool store results. But in this case where I’m out of solution and there is no where to buy it by tomorrow I must use pool store cya results Only to try to judge my cya level cause apparently I am not getting to the proper slam level. I assume that’s what u r trying to tell me???

So u r thinking it’s just not reaching shock level since Im not sure what the cya level is that’s the problem? If that’s the case I’ll just have to rely on a pool store for cya result as our Walmart has none.

Problem solved! It was sucking air like u said. It was the skimmer vac plate. It’s 20 plus years old and the seal was cracked. Had to travel an hour to find one but I did and pool is now vacuumed! Thank u for all ur help!

Ok I don’t have any pool silicone so I will have to get that tomorrow to try that. And I will. Is there anything else I could do tonight

It’s a new hose. I connect the vacuum hose to the skimmer. I turned the skimmer valve to full skimmer. Also not sure where o rings r. I have not done anything there.... r u talking about on this piece in the picture I sent? This poor picture but it’s where the water fills at the pump. And yes...

That is correct. I have double checked that.

First time vacuuming this year but it doesn’t hold pressure. Water fills in the hose then it stops. The water in the basket at the pump is just running but does not fill. What’s wrong. Filter run fine and no problems backwashing. Just can’t vacuum. Thanks for any help

Had a 20 year plus Hayward heater removed a couple years ago that was vented thru the pool house wall. Just had pool company install a new Raypak 266A heater. They installed the vent cap kit but would not do the vent to the outside and said I should vent thru the roof. My question...is it okay...

It was not vacuumed to waste. Not much visible debris in the pool but still vacuuming everyday. I’ll do an overnight chlorine loss tonight. Calcium reading is 140(pool store reading) What do u think about the phosphates? Always was told not to worry about that.
