    Help. Motor just hums... won't start

    Hooray for the capacitor. Working fine now. Oh, by the way, I unwrapped the side of my motor and instead rapped it with a hammer. Maybe that is why it was so hot (get it, hardyharhar). I found out the new capacitors are slightly larger in size and would not fit in the existing cover...
