    I read on another thread about mustard algae sometimes hiding in the spa air piping. The recommended action was to flush your pool shock water back through the air piping. How exactly would you do this?

    Good input so far. Looks like a single speed pump replacement is a few hundred less than the VS pump - and I probably will only run it at one speed. Re changing plumbing, not sure current VS pump would be powerful enough. Pool repairman thought I'd probably need a 3HP Intelliflow to pump...
