    Polaris AutoClear Plus

I would look at the CircuPool/CompuPool SWGs too. I think JoshU is looking for the size of your pool so you size your next (should you decide to buy a new one) SWG correctly. Happy hunting!

What do you make of this stain?

Thanks for the suggestion but that's really not an option as I would have to overflow the pool to get to that level, and I did try to treat it with Chlorine, but I admit it was a limited duration, maybe 5 minutes during brushing before washing it off into pool.

What do you make of this stain?

Hi, need some assistance with this stain. I live in Fl and have a 22,000 gal. pebble-tech sand finish pool. Previous owner of the house had installed gutters but didn't drain the water away from the pool so when there was as storm the pool filed up and overflowed the paver coping. As a result I...

    Automatic Pool cover switch

Cloudbusting - Unfortunately the micro switch listed in the link below will not accomplish what you want as it is only listed to support a 2.5A Motor. They also have three other versions of micro switches other applications, but I did not check the amp draw...

Yes agree, I didn't state that you should have the pool in sight, but it is intuitive.

    Compupool any good?

I installed a RJ45 this past weekend, it was very easy and seems to be producing chlorine nicely, I can see it through the cell! Agree with Bama Rambler the cell does not operate on 220-240vac, but on a reduced dc voltage I believe its 24vdc, but I'll have to check. But still, you don't want...

    Automatic Pool cover switch

Swimcmp is exactly right, you don't want this thing closing automatically when folks are in the pool, but the parameters for control are such that you could auto open and control closure from your computer or very shortly with your iPhone, or other any smartphone. There is an item called the...

how do people seal their stone

After pressure washing my sidewalks I went to home depot ans got a gallon of concrete sealer ans just rolled it on. That was about a year and a half ago still looks like I just did it.

    Automatic Pool cover switch

I have installed some automation in my house and have used this to operate my storm/security shutters, same principal as the pool cover motor. http://www.smarthome.com/2444-222/INSTE ... ule/p.aspx Not sure what load you have on you pool cover motor, but this might do the trick! It's pretty...

Adding a SWG system to my pool...

Go for it, I just installed a CircuPool system this weekend. My pool company wanted $250 to install the unit and the provide salt. Salt was about $60-70 bucks, so I figure I saved $190-180. Just make sure you use just the right amount of glue, too little and it really makes the joints...

    best generator

One other thing you might want to consider is how the SWG will play with systems (pool control equipment) you have on your current pool system or might want to add in the future. I'm speaking of automated systems like Jandy or Hayward. So if you're thinking of upgrading your operating system in...

    Light Automation

I used the micro switch from INSTEON, (got it on line at Smarthome) easy set-up and supported by their HUB (cloud iPhone/Android) controlled as well as the HouseLink. Think the switch we around $40. But as CraigMW stated you will need the infrastructure to communicate (Z-Wave, Insteon) with...

Excellent input thanks! I'll do some searches on this type of setup, look like the Stenner pump is fairly popular. Thanks again.

    SWG recommendations

Hey thanks linen I read the water balance for SWG, but I do have two waterfalls that are a part of the normal filtration process. On my previous pool I had kept my stabilizer level around 70-80, but still had high ph, and I only had one waterfall on that pool. That's the reason I thought about...

Right, need to keep the sizing in mind, thanks for the input. How difficult is it to install an acid pump (timer, metering device?) and what is needed? Seems like that might be all you would need given the propensity for the SWG to increase Ph.

Thanks for the info Bama Rambler. Any feeling for the efficiency/reliability, price, between the Autopilot or Pentair units?

Hi Folks, I’m new to the forum but have been searching around the forum for a week or so and I have a few questions. We live in Central Florida and have a pebble-tech pool (tiny pebbles imbedded in cement), it’s approximately 20K gallons. I’m looking to install a SWG, my local pool company has...
