This is my 4th year opening my pool and I have used the pool math and this site with the test kit all along. I got some CYA so will be adding that tonight. So I shouldn't be too worried about the FC being so high at 14.5, or will that change when I get my CYA level better? Thanks everyone

We had a new intex pool last year. We decided to leave it up. Chicago had one of the worst winters in history, and our pool made it through just fine. Opened this year to clean sparkling water, and not one problem. We will leave it up this year too.:D

Well, late yesterday, I decided to get on my hands and knees( dh did that the first time, but couldn't find anything) well low and behold I found it after about 10 mins. It was about 1/4 inch long tear. It was patched and I am filling it up now. Hope there is no more. Thanks for everyone's help.

Thanks for the replies. Hubby got on all fours, and looked for about half an hour in the suspected area, and could not find any seam tear. We carefully placed our liner right in the middle of our circle and unfolded, so no dragging across the lawn. We have HD tarp, gorilla pad, pink insulation...
