It is suppose to rain most of the day here, so swimming might not happen anyway. IF it does rain, won't it dilute my FC? If so, should I double up on shocking it, or wait until rain is over and then proceed to bring up the FC again?

So I guess swimming this weekend is out ??

Good News!! Woke up this morning to a pool without algae.... Last night before going to bed Readings: FC - 17.5 CYA - 50 CC - .5 PH - 7.4 It rained in the middle of the night. This mornings readings: FC - 14.5 CYA - 60 CC - .5 PH - 7.2 Here are this mornings pictures:

Ok, I have vacuumed the pool again and almost all of the green that I had this morning is gone. The pool is cloudy now, not too bad, I can still see the bottom of the pool. I have shocked the pool once more and here are my readings. FC 15.5 (31 drops) CC 1 (2 drops) PH 7.3

I couldn't reach that part with the pole, the whole pool bottom was covered with it this morning, it vacuumes up, but I need to get a longer pool extention to reach that part. Headed to the pool supply shop now to pick one up.

The only thing that changed since the hard rain we got and the pool turning green, I had ordered and recieved a "Pool Rover", to automatically clean the pool. Would that have cause the pool to turn green?

The test Kit Chlorine Drop Test states. "5. To test for Combined Chloramines(CC), add 5 drops of R0003 to the solution and swirl. If it remains clear, you have no CC's. It it returns back to pink... blah, blah blah. " I added the 5 drops of R0003 and it remained clear. So I recorded as no CC.

The pool was green with alge yesterday, day before yesterday we had a very hard rain. I tested yesterday and added 2 gallons of bleach to the pool. I woke up this morning, vacuumed the pool and tested again. I posted the results in my first post.

I live in Virginia.. Temp outside is around 69 degrees, looking like it will stick around for the next week in the low 70's.

Water is crystal clear. I do however need to vacuum the bottom. Got a little dirt. But other than that.. It looks clear.. I won't be swimming anytime soon, the water temp is 65 degrees.. But I just wanted to test my chemistry abilities and start learning on what I need to do.
