    What type of Chlorine and shock are you using? Those are typically the only way CH rises.

    I would suggest adjusting TA first, then pH, then Chlorine. Since the first two can effect the effectiveness of Chlorine you always want to lower your pH first before adding Chlorine.

    Be careful when switching over to Liquid Chlorine

    Be careful when switching over to Liquid Chlorine. It can not be stabilized against the sun so you will be using a ton of it! Also keep an eye on your TDS levels. Liquid Chlorine is salt based and will raise your TDS very quickly. You don't want TDS over 2500 ppm. :)
