Do I have to purchase a new chlorinator or can I just stop using the mineral pack and bac pacs? I have a 24' AGP- kleath

AS mineral
I currently have the AS system. I'm over the expense and the fact the a bac pack has to be replaced every 7-10 days. Am I able to use liquid chlorine and old school balancing without changing my whole system?- kleath
