TA 120 to 150 over 2 days of rain

Ah, I wasn't aware of the +-10. The thought also occurred to me that my sample bottle might need a good cleaning. I think I'll rinse it out well with some distilled water and then recheck later today when I get done brushing/vacuuming the pool down. It just seemed so strange to jump that much -...

TA 120 to 150 over 2 days of rain

I have not. It didn't even cross my mind and I was under the impression that rain water wouldn't affect the TA like it did. In hindsight though, I will do this next time. From what I can see on weather.com, the rain is not coming back any time soon.

    Are these levels pretty good?

Thank you for the input - the CC was a worry too. I noticed someone on the site had posted in another thread that he has seen his CC jump around in windy weather, so I figured this was normal. Based on what I've read, and what the pool calculator tells me, I think I'm doing ok, but have a concern on my...

New to the forum and pool ownership!

Thanks jblizzle - I'll get more details on my filter/pump and add then into the sig. I have been reading through the pool school and found it very informative. Good to know I won't really need to use the Borax/Baking Soda, but since it's so inexpensive, I figure it wouldn't be too bad to have...

New to the forum and pool ownership!

Hello All! So happy to have found this forum. I just recently purchased a new house and it came with a pool - first time pool owner now and eager to maintain it to the best of my ability. I recently purchased the taylor 2006k test kit as recommended from the forum - previously started out with...
