Is there a flow benefit of plumbing the jandy valve on the outside vs the inside? 2.5" vs 2". Or is the inside diameter the same either way. I like the idea of cutting the top of the check valve off leaving the jandy to be plumbed on the inside. But will flow be affected?

When I said unions I meant straight joints. Would you recommend installing screw together unions? My system has none of these currently. I don't foresee future repairs since I will use maintainable check valves. I would need like 4 of them just for this small area. Would rather have some...

How do you think I can make things easier moving forward? Only thing I can think is to extend pipes upward. They wanted to save space with the setup for sure.

Just tried a clamp and it unfortunately still leaked. The crack goes vertical alittle bit on the body and the clamp would not close it. Just ordered new Jandy valve 3 way 1.5 to 2".

The two ports connecting to the DE filter should be easy though i think. They just screw on. I hope I just have to work on the from pump and to pool plumbing. Can you tell what Jandy valve I need to order. There are no marking on it whatsoever. I think its a 3 way 1 1/2 to 2"? Thanks for...
