So, I returned my Intermatic transformer under warranty and got the Pentair transformer instead. It solved the issue. The Pentair transformer is much quieter, there is still a faint buzz but nothing like what the Intermatic did.

I contacted Intermatic and should be able to get a replacement, we'll see

same here with the RJ30+, I have it at 25% for now and doesn't get hot, there is a nice gap in the back as well.
