Replacing flow switch/temp sensor for Pentair IC40

I have an IC40 that keeps reporting low salt even though the water temp is 78 and I've measured the salt level at around 3600ppm. The system says it is at about 6,000 usage hours or 60% of it's life. Reading through a lot of olds threads has led me to believe that I need to replace the flow...

Why is my chlorine level not decreasing?

It took 48+ hours after turning the SWG off but the chlorine level is finally starting to drop. I'm glad our pool behaves the laws of the universe and isn't some crazy anomaly. Just took longer than I expected. Thanks for the tips and feedback! I will test CYA again before adjusting to see if...

Why is my chlorine level not decreasing?

I am trying to dial in my SWG, that's exactly it. I'm also new to pool care and just wanted to see if what the documentation says is true, that is I keep reading that you can lose 90% of the FC in 2 hours in direct sunlight with no CYA. I do have some low level of CYA so I didn't expect it to...

    Newby

I'm new to TFP and new to pool care. We've had a pool for a couple years and have been paying someone to take care of it. I finally bit the bullet and decided to take over the pool care myself. At first it was to save money, but after testing the pool I realized our pool guy wasn't doing his job...

Why is my chlorine level not decreasing?

We have a 10k gal salt water pool. I used the Taylor K-2006 test kit, the FAS-DPD one, to measure FC 10 ppm and CYA < 30 ppm (too low for the test to report anything). I took a sample to the pool store and they reported CYA of 11ppm. After reading a lot of the articles and forums, I'm sure I'll...
