    Is propane too expensive?

Thanks, Dave. No NG lines anywhere near us. Sounds like propane is still viable, tapping into our existing system. carl

    Is propane too expensive?

Thanks very much. I am out a lot so my relies are belated. Sorry about the potential "hi-jacking". Was ignorant about starting a new thread. Thnx for "potential energy" figures for NG vs propane. I am trying to decide if it is worth my while to add a propane heater to the system but only...

    Is propane too expensive?

Thnx for your replies. Start a new post...hmmm... looks like I now have one under "Everything Else". I don't know by what "units" NG is charged...propane is by the gal...or what NG costs vice propane.

    Is propane too expensive?

Mod (linen) edit: Split from this topic http://www.troublefreepool.com/heater-options-t52638.html I have a 500 gal propane tank which we currently use for tankless hot water heaters as there is no natural gas supply in our area. Is Propane too expensive to use to heat up the spa in the...

Elevated Spa leaks into pool at about 1" per day

Thnx, Ping. Both motorized valves are programmed to operate simultaneously and they move slowly. I have always suspected that because they move slowly that water may be leaking back thru one or both of them...but never sure. The pool actually would leak up to about 1.5 inch per day with the...

Elevated Spa leaks into pool at about 1" per day

Elevated Spa leaks into pool at about 1" per day

Thnx, Martin. All the valves have been replaced or thoroughly checked. The spa appears only to drain when switching between the spa and pool mode. My system is configured so that my spa and pool supply and return lines are either on or off motorized valves era controlled by the programming...

Elevated Spa leaks into pool at about 1" per day

Thank you all for your input. I've been out. There is a check valve, not in picture to the right on the spillway pressure side of the little pump to the right. Our pool builder's "expert" came out again yesterday while I was out and reprogrammed the system so that the spillway runs 1...

Here is the pump valve configuration. Pls notice the chk valve barely visible on the left pool return . The small pump on the right is dedicated to the spillway.

Elevated Spa leaks into pool at about 1" per day

Our 6 person spa loses between 1/2 to 1.5 inches of water per day until it reaches the lowest of the 6 jets. It appears to lose only when I program the pump to switch twice a day between the pool and the spa. When I do not run the pump at all or when I only run either the spa or the pool modes...

Has anyone filled up there pool with well

We did our 20k gunnite pool and have regretted it because of the staining...which I cannot get rid of. It is not due to iron but rather manganese in the well water. (We have had our well water tested twice...iron very low; manganese very high.) No one advised us to treat for stains until too...
