ok I re measured: 34 foot 2 inches to where the wall meets the steps (rounded corners) and 16 feet wide. the middle is approx 5 foot deep (Might be 5.5 or close at the maindrain) and its 3 foot deep at the steps and that slopes to the 5 foot section.

well I did call, and she said that a pool that is 33 feet long by 16 feet wide with a 5.5 foot center and each end at 3.5 would be 9100 GAL... I asked her to check that twice. needless to say I am still trying to figure it out.

N240sxguy I found the max flow rate by pipe size in the filters PDF... I will post a link in a few. The drain plug threads are fine, it does have an oring I added some Teflon and I think it helped... At least it went farther in, I'm used to them screwing all the way in with little effort...

Hi folks, I just picked up a backup pump for my pool... its a pentair vs+svrs and its working fine other than two things... 1. can someone tell me the minimum RPM setting for my filter? 2. seems like the drain plug on the pump (one under the lid) doesn't go all the way in... (threads look fine)...

James W you have a point... I forgot the valves were both inner and outer installs.. I may do as you stated, and use 2" - 1.5 inch unions to get them back in. I also glued up some scrap to see how the torch method works... and I may order one of those socket savers or one of those ram bits...

Hi folks, I want to replace my suction side. I added two jandy never lube valves in the spring to try to stop what may be a suction side leak, it didn't help. Now I want to pull it all out and try again. I saw on YouTube where they were cutting the pvc close to the fitting (valve in my case)...

Odd that its so hard to find... I have been looking for someone with a bad drive unit that would give/sell me the cap... Otherwise looks like I will be going to the local hardware store to see what I can locate that will fit over the port. please let me know is you can help.

I put a banjo style clamp on the area I think is the suction leak... 99% of the bubbles are gone. Question... If I see a few "BB" size bubbles flow through occasionally if that acceptable? I didn't time it, but I saw 1-2 while looking for 3-5 min... Thanks for any help or thoughts you folks...

Alright, I was able to run water over the area between the jandy valves and the suction side of the pump... the bubbles do stop when I do that. I wish I had more time before work but i didn't... You think shaving cream will be the next step to find the exact point? I know the obvious answer...

So when I got back home the strainer basket was half empty with no pressure... That tells me that the air leak is between the jandy valves and the pump or the shaft seal or whatever in the pump. I would guess with the pump shut off and the valves closed that it should hold its prime??? I will...

Worth a shot... Also I turned the pump off and I also shut the MD and Skimmer jandy valves off and it looked like air was coming in still from the suction inlet... I only had a few min to look so I can't say if it was residual or actual air. If I get back to the house and it's full of air I will...

Most of what I have read today says if the pump seals were bad it would leak water out of the pump, not show bubbles in the strainer basket... I do have a seal kit on the way but I want to also explore any other thoughts... Seems odd... I wish it would work right.

I ordered the kit I listed above... More to follow. Let me know if anyone agrees or has other ideas.

I could do that... I don't see any signs of a leak in that area, I'm not sure if that is suction or pressure... I think that is the area where the impeller is, like right below where the pipe takes the water to the filter. Few pics and video Wonder where I would get seals...
