CH was a lot higher last year (360) before I started using the BBB method. It is lower now due to having to drain a foot of water from the pool for the winter.

Forgot to post update. My pool cleared up overnight! I caught it early enough. Many of my friends had the same problem, so we think it had to do with the massive amount of rain we've had. I shocked for an extra day just to be on the safe side, but my pool is crystal clear. Thanks everyone!

I can't run the pump because I have to lower the water level to below the skimmer and I want to keep antifreeze in the lines. But, I can put liquid chlorine in the pool and put in a submersible pump to move the water around a bit. Sounds like a plan.
