    Intex filter pumps??

I have had mine for 3 years now, I have the separate SWG. Those two changes have truly made my pool an absolute pleasure, my maintenance is extremely minimal I love it!!!

Sand filter, did I goof up???

Well lesson learned, I ended up cleaning my shop vac out really well and sucking all the sand out. Once that was done I removed the center pipe and laterals and gave them a good cleaning while I had them out. Reinstalled the center pipe and laterals, refilled with the sand in the vacuum, gave it...

Sand filter, did I goof up???

Over the last week I have been so dang busy I neglected my pool a little bit resulting in my pool getting just ever so slightly cloudy. So with that I new a good backflush was in order, upon backflushing I noticed the flow out my backflush line was a bit on the weak side. I have had this issue...

Skimmer sucks air on Intex Pool

I had a similar issue with mine (Although I am running 2 2500 GPH pumps, I was getting massive air in my system. I went through checked every O-ring, put Vaseline on each one, made sure everything was clean and tight. To no avail, still getting so much air my salt water generator would shut...

    Above ground pool LED light

LOL yeah the local PD would love to see me cruising with that, it actually just stays on solid white while driving... The waterproofing part is super easy, so is the power supply as this is all low voltage stuff, it could run off a 9V battery for days.

    Above ground pool LED light

I do a lot of work with LED's, I have been considering building a light ring similar to my halo in the video below inside the return line of my Intex, I ordered a SWG and I think having the tiny bubbles illuminated and changing color would be a cool effect! FYI the video is the headlight of my...

New Pool Owner, unlevel pool. ugh...

Be VERY VERY CAREFUL, your pool is made by Polygroup, I just went through a HUGE ordeal with them after purchasing a 24' x 52" round pool made by Polygroup, all of the legs were leveled using a rotary laser, and were all within 1/16th. Each leg had a 12"x12" paver placed under it, every leg was...

    Polygroup Pro 24' x 52" bowing legs

Thought I would update this thread, the store manager I spoke with about the issues with the Polygroup garbage felt so bad he told me he was going to swap out an Intex pool for our Polygroup, he felt bad knowing our water bill is going to be through the roof. I got the pool drained, packed up...

    Swimming in Green/Cloudy Water

Wow, what a simple yet very effective way of dealing with a cover over winter! I was going to build a PVC stand to prop my cover up this winter, but this is so simple!!! Thanks for sharing!

    Intex swg just turns off

I have very little experience with the Intex SWG, or any SWG for that matter however I do have some electronics background. More than likely the display is going to be 5-12 volts, which means inside the SWG there will be a transformer to step the 110V AC to 12V DC, there should also be a voltage...

    Polygroup Pro 24' x 52" bowing legs

Well after having 3 more legs buckle completely overnight I had enough, we are currently draining the pool and it is going back to Sears. The manufacturer just wanted to send more legs which would solve nothing at all. Sears has made the situation more than right and we should have our Intex...

    Polygroup Pro 24' x 52" bowing legs

It appears the liner stretched after it had been filled, we watched the legs like a hawk as the pool filled and all looked great. We turned the water off went out for a few hours and when we came back we had massive bowing.

    Polygroup Pro 24' x 52" bowing legs

I have spent the last several days making sure my Polygroup 24' x 52" pool is perfectly level, which it is. We carefully watched the legs during the filling process making sure they were as close to 90 degrees as possible, during the last 15 minutes of filling most of the legs began bowing...

    Got to anxious... Ooops...

I started on getting everything sorted out last night, what a pain trying to re-level the pool. I am going to throw a rotary laser in the middle of the pool so I am dead on. The 12"x12" pavers we purchased feel extremely solid in the ground, I got 4 of the 24 set last night in a couple of...

    Got to anxious... Ooops...

I think it will likely be ok placing the bricks where the legs are currently, they will get lifted obviously then holes dug for the bricks. The legs only sunk 1-2", or perhaps I am just telling myself this to make me feel better lol either way this is what we are gonna try!

    Got to anxious... Ooops...

That is a great idea, not sure how feasible it will be with a couple inches of water still in the bottom of the pool though, I will give that some thought though!

    Got to anxious... Ooops...

Right and that is what we did, tilling was required as the dirt we have is a very very dense clay that doesn't just move. The pool itself did no settling at all, just the legs. Hopefully the larger surface area of the pavers will be enough to keep further sinking at bay...

    Got to anxious... Ooops...

We started the process of prepping our backyard for our Polypool 24'X52" pool a couple weeks ago, out backyard was somewhat level, no major sloping but we did have high and low spots. I didn't want to bring in sand so we tilled the backyard about 10" deep, moved dirt from high spots to low spots...
