New Intex Sand Pump & SWG troubleshooting

Thank you all for helping. Love this place! Yes :) Yes, that's the lineup we have! Pool sucking out (lower pool hole) -> into the sand pump -> into the SWG -> then out the higher pool hole. Both plungers are also open. LOL made that mistake and caught as soon we started it the first time...

New Intex Sand Pump & SWG troubleshooting

I just set up my intex pool from last year with the new goodies, an Intex Sand Filter and Intex SWG. I'm feeling kind of dumb with the new set-up! :? The first day was great. Noticed a huge difference from last year! Second night the sand filter and swg ran we heard the swg alarm going off...

I know this an older post but I'm glad I read it. I was considering buying one for to prevent needing a permit. What brand made the deck? Yours looks a little different than the one I was looking at. BTW, It looks great on your pool!

What should I put around my pool base?

The yellow line. As someone else mentioned if you are planning on taking your pool down in the winter you will need to keep that in mind. I was assuming you would leave it up since you are in NC (I'm from there and miss it!) If you are planning on taking it down in the winter you can put...

What should I put around my pool base?

If you filled in the hole around the pool with clean bagged soil to ground level or sloped up just a hair more. it would prevent the pool from shifting as much and almost completely stop the chance of rocks or other nature trash from getting under the pool. I wish mine was sunk in like yours...

What should I put around my pool base?

I left mine ugly last year (1st year owning). I did research and came up with some ideas and suggestions from others mixed with the experience of just watching the way the pool 'moved' when the kids played rough. My pool sets on the edge of an incline that dips down several inches. Our ground...

This is what alot of people on here use under the pool. http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/100320301?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=fan+board&storeId=10051&superSkuId=202938956&N=5yc1v&R=100320301#.UT0PBRxEF8g Just duck tape the seems like someone said. HTH

Intex pool fence - dog ramp - styrofoam bottom questions

I put a make shift fence around my Intex Ultra. I bough some of the pre-cut lumber rails from HomeDepot ($1 each) I notched a "c" shape in the same spot of each post (about 12-15" from the bottom) so it would rest against the top pool rail and used zip-ties to attach them to each of the pool...

    PVC Ladder advice

Did you figure something out yet, op? I really liked the plexi glass idea too bad that didn't work? What around corrugated roofing with the ripples up and down, connected the same way. Or could you mod the latter to have the tub/steps slip out when they are not being used?

    Noobie with a starter pool

Thanks, I will get this one! Since my pool on the cloudy side, like the first day, I have an excuse! I had to add water to it yesterday and whatever is in our city water is cloudy. I don't let the kids drink the tap water. I put a filter on the kitchen tap and it had rocks in the...

    Noobie with a starter pool

Yes green is not my color of choice! Show my DH something that is unbalanced and making it unsafe for us to swim in! We live next to Lake Erie and if we come out of that nasty water healthy he thinks we will be fine just adding chlorine. :blah: :hammer: I don't know if they have something...

    Noobie with a starter pool

Thank you all for walking me through it all. I'd change/tweak a few minor things the next time I need to refill it. Hopefully not until next Spring/Summer! Defiantly need to make things look better before my neighbors really start hating the pool! Any suggestions? Getting something to...

    Noobie with a starter pool

Well my pool is up. Leveling a rocky, clay yard, full of sun is a *****, 'Nuff Said! Being a chic and digging the whole with my kid I called it quits after 3 full days of digging and scraping. I gave up on it and began scooping clay up, putting it in the low spots. I know, I know. I had my...

    Noobie with a starter pool

The 2x4 was just to get a visual of where a level spot was and to swing around to spray paint the circle to dig. :-) I'm undecided on using anything under the legs (lol is that what they are called) I have some of those $1 patio pavers that I never used, if I need them. Would those need to be...

    Noobie with a starter pool

@techguy thank you for the tip! I will be going to get the long 2x4 board to find out how unlevel I am. I'm going to try to scrap the top layer off and maybe drop in about an inch or two below the rest.

    Noobie with a starter pool

Hi glad I found this site. Wish I would have sooner so I could read more before the pool goes up. The pool just came in the mail yesterday and the kids are agar to get it going. We are leasing our home with a purchase option (not mine YET!) and we have a small lot, so this was the best option...
