    Mastertemp bypass valve

Thanks to TFP and the awesome contributors to this post, I diagnosed and replaced my manifold bypass this morning (and saved a ton of cash). I have a MasterTemp 400, and fortunately all of the parts were still in the manifold. Thanks everyone and Happy Thanksgiving! LB

Intellichlor IC40 low life, are the cells repalceable?

It's 7 years old, do I have to buy the whole unit? Is the power supply the same IC20/40? Also the pool is 10K gallons, If I have to replace I think a IC20 would be plenty, thoughts? Thanks, LB

    Pentair Stop leak?

Has anyone used this or anything like it? I have some leaks in my solar panels and the installer suggested this for fixing them. Pentair 48220000 1-Quarts Bottle Stop Leak Thanks, LB

    Jandy actuator won't align correctly

It sounds like the cam slipped out of position. pull the cover off loosen the nut, align it, (once you figure out which cam it is really easy to adjust with the power on) and tighten the nut being careful not to let the cams rotate out of position. How was it fixed the first time? LB

    valve actuator cable length

Thanks everyone, I actually had to pull it out of the box because it was binding with the wiring of the new panel. LB

    valve actuator cable length

Thinking of cleaning up my valve actuator cabling, do any installers ever shorten these cables and recrimp the plugs rather than leaving all of the extra cable rolled up? It would sure clean up the install. Thanks, LB

SECOND INTELLIFLO XF develops same leak?? how is this?

Hi Tuna, Sorry, (couldn't resist :)) My XF had a chirping motor, when the Tech heard I had 2" plumbing he swore up and down the pump was 2 big, cut it out and return it. He even went so far as to Flag the install with Pentair as illegal (because I was DIY) stating I had 1.5" pipe and no drain...

    reusing 2X2.5" valves

Yup I follow you! need to measure my pad and see if I have enough room for the check valve and 8-10" of pipe before the pump is there a flow issue having the spa come into the side if I re orientate the valve for my config? Thanks again, LB

    reusing 2X2.5" valves

Thanks for the input Jason, I forgot to mention re orientating the automated valve, the Pentair's are very easy to adjust the cams (is there a flow issue having the spa come into the side?) and yes, need to get creative with the pressure side to filter, will be tight to the filter, maybe pivot...

    reusing 2X2.5" valves

Here is a pic, move the 3way with actuator and check valve inline with suction, move the pump back about 10" give me about 8" from pump union not to check valve. Thanks! LB

    reusing 2X2.5" valves

Hi All, looking to take hmiser's lead and clean up my suction side plumbing, eliminating 4 2" 90's. I have 2 3way valves and a check valve that have fittings butted against them, so my options are; 1) cut flush and try a 2" RAMBIT on all fittings or 2) since they are all 2X2.5", cut them...

Are my Pentair valves "Full Port"? They look like the narrow down a bit Thanks, LB

Trouble with new IntelliFlo XF pump station

Hi Hmiser, Glad to see your progress! So did you just bush from your existing 1.5" out of the floor to 2"? leaving 1.5" to the pool? I hate it when I get that close to the floor, I usually put Unions at that point What exactly do you mean by "Full Port" valve? Thanks, LB

Trouble with new IntelliFlo XF pump station

Trying to figure out the exact same problem here with my new XF, air in the top/chugs at real low RPM (I think that's the nature of the beast) runs smooth and SWG runs @ 1800, Solar @ 2300, but water level slowly drops, never below the top of the intake though. Oh plus, I have an intermittent...

    Adjustable overflo drain?

Thanks Jason, I was thinking a 90 with a 1/8 or 3/16" weep hole in the top then an upsidedown gate/slice valve, then 90 and plumb to the drain maybe getting to complicated, like the simple "T" solution of yours! LB

    Adjustable overflo drain?

Hi All, I have a 1.5" pipe near my pump pad that is capped and has a 3/8" hole drilled in the side for a pool overflow drain. I want to pipe this out to my gutter drain, I know I need to keep the apex of the inside of the fitting the exact height of the bottom of the hole, has anybody come up...

    Intelliflo XF

considering the size of your pool, you will need lots of Solar, but yeah this is my second house with pool and I installed Solar, my experience is "worth every penny" if you love to swim! The systems are pretty basic really, search for some Solar plumbing diagrams, you will learn a lot. feel...

    Pentiar Easytouch programming hellp?

Thanks Everyone! (I love this board!) After reevaluating things and comments from this post, (Thanks Pool Clown!) I don't think it is cavitation at all, it just does not suck all of the air from the lid. I have found my intelliclor starts working at 1850, solar runs well at 2500... the...

    Intelliflo XF

Update, OK, installed the XF, easytouch upgrade and Solar this weekend, working thru programming etc. I have 2 issues with the pump; #1 high pitch chirping sound from the pump, Pentair has a repair order setup #2 cavitation in the top of the basket, can't seem to find the problem. The tech I...

    Pentiar Easytouch programming hellp?

Hi All, I just installed an intelliflow XF pump, easytouch upgrade panel, and Solar system with bypass. 10K spa/pool with spillway, shared equipment. The easytouch is controlling to pump, Intellichlor, gas heater, solar valve and pool valves. Pardon my ignorance but I have been through the...

    Solar Panel return check valve?

Hi All, Getting ready to do a solar system, Pentair easy touch upgrade and Pentail Intelliflo XF pump. The solar plumbing diagrams I have seen show; from filter –check valve- “T” to bypass and 3 way valve 3 way valve to solar feed and solar return “T” Bypass to solar return-heater supply “T”...
