Pentair CCP520 - Pressure Gauge repair

Gauge on my filter is all sun faded and beat up from Texas sun. Can’t read it at all. Can this be DIY replaced and if so where can I buy the parts for a reasonable price and is there a video that can show me how? I can turn a wrench and follow video instructions pretty good but I’m not...

    Chlorine target level Q?

Still a noob here even though I’ve been a member a while. I travel for work every week so I hire a weekly pool service (don’t shoot me) so my weekends are not nothing but home maintenance. Recently the pool company they changed hands and the service and my pool went to Crud. They’ve been fired...

Will do Kim on posting final color pics. I'm hoping to be able to take the same photo in similar time of day lighting, every other day so I can monitor the color change over the first few weeks. Aware of the green/cloudy hue we'll have at first, thanks to my TFP knowledge. GDF

Water is flowing. Dual hoses from 1p CT using two bibs on each side of my house. Gym socks wrapped and zip tied. If I see the backyard neighbor that backs up to us, and he's amenable to my paying his March water bill, I can possibly speed this up. Only my fellow TFPers know how freaking...

Thanks all for the input. I knew the 24-48hrs for the pool fill is negligible without soft water for indoor applicances and such. More about laundry and showers for two days without nice soft water.

Thanks I know I can’t stop. Did I understand the comment that if I use my softener bypass valve while filling that the flow to the hose bibs will be restricted and take even longer to fill? Has anyone ever run 2nd water fill hose from neighbors with permission of course?

Two questions. a) If it rains tomorrow between plaster today and acid wash Monday will the acid wash cleanse any stain from settled rain? b) The product registration the Pebble Tech applicator left says that if I have whole house water softener, to not use that water for initial fill. I do...

Thanks so much. Planning to wrap the counters with brick that matches the house and the fire place wall and pizza oven veneer will be the same 1x2 split face the pool beam has to try and tie things together. Decisions pending are; - granite tops that “sort of” matches the inside granite...

As a user, I like TAT as it nicely aggregates various forums of my diverse interests and puts all my followed threads in a notification feed. It was one stop shop for me. Separate browser favorites is more effort. Just saying it will likely lead me to be on TFP and contributing less frequently.

Meanwhile the PB delivered the RCS equipment for the kitchen; I needed to take delivery before Dec 1st to avoid a 10% price uplift due to tariffs on imported stainless steel. And the freight Company delivered my FB pizza oven from California so that “tiny” crate is keeping all the stainless...

It’s been a while since my last update and unfortunately not a ton of progress. The week of Thanksgiving the pavilion builder was able to come and dig posts and frame and sheet the pavilion as above. Then they needed to wait for PB’s plumber to run plumbing for kitchen sink. This is where the...

No plaster yet, but I believe we are 10-11” from deck to sun shelf. We are supposed to have a 8-9” water depth at shelf.

Not a ton of progress in past week. Plumbers spent time running gas line for equipment pad, and also around to the pavilion for grill, pizza oven and FP. Small hurdle in figuring out pavilion sink drain routing. I won’t pretend to understand, but our clean out is on opposite side of house from...

Tile and Coping! I was traveling for work this week and tile and coping took place before the rains came in. https://youtu.be/NX_BIzN4VVE It’s been raining and now the coping and splitface trav are much beige-ier and cream-ier colored and lose their silver/gray tones when wet. I’m...

So today was gunite day. https://youtu.be/HDIhTYOIA4A So “Houston we have a problem.” The gunite shoot started and looks like they got 3/4ths done when the compressor truck died. So the pool looks mostly done but the spa is still steel and pvc. They’ve left their hose, tools and equipment...
