    How Upset Should I Be?

Thanks everyone. Funny part is that I am a lawyer. We had a ton of issues during construction, but I get paid to handle other people's legal issues all day so I let a lot of things slide for my pool because the last thing I want to do when I get home each night is start fighting with a builder...

    How Upset Should I Be?

All of our paperwork including the color selection states Premix Marquis and the specific Marquis series color. I suspect our builder didn't know that his sub was doing it, but I do know that our builder didn't come clean when it did find out.

    How Upset Should I Be?

I apologize for the long post, but I'm not quite sure what to do. We had a pool built in 2012, and it was a solid nightmare (wrong location, took almost 7 months, dimensions wrong, etc.). Our builder sold us on going with Premix Marbleite Marquis finish because of its reputation, warranty...

    Flow switch

Thanks! I'm sure the builder will be happy to hear from me again.

    Flow switch

Thanks for the reply. It is a SGS Breeze system. The pool cleaner mentions that the system is tied into the timer on the subpanel but you can turn the system on without the pump also running.

    Flow switch

We have a relatively brand new pool with a SWG. The pool cleaning company we just hired tells us that our pool builder did not install a flow switch but should have. Before I send a nasty letter to the pool builder (this is issue number 1000), is our pool cleaner correct that there should...

Recommend a PB in the Tampa Bay area

In hindsight, we should have chosen a different builder (Exclusive, Riveria, Anchor, etc.). Anyone with a license to build pools other than Natural Springs.

New Pool Build in Tampa, Fl - Updated 3/25!

Re: New Pool Build in Tampa, Fl Hopefully your experience with Natural Springs Pools is much different that ours was/has been - it has taken them over six months to complete our pool, and despite having been paid in full it still isn't done (in fact, they are at my house today draining half of...

    New Pool Post-Fill Up Questions

Thanks for the reply. A leak certainly wasn't unexpected given all of the other issues we have experienced, and it's sort of been the running joke with our family and neighbors that we would have one (or more) when the pool was finally "done". I guess there's still plenty more that can go...

    New Pool Post-Fill Up Questions

Our new in ground 12K gallon gunite pool finish (Marquis quartz) was applied on Thursday afternoon. Filling it through a garden hose started right away. By yesterday evening, the pool was filled up to half the 6" waterline tile, which is when I turned the water off. The builder was supposed to...

    Dig Deviates from Drawings

Has anyone had any experience where the location of the pre-gunite dig differs from the drawings? My wife and I both think (as does our neighbor who noticed it on her own, and my brother in law who is an engineer and measured) that the free form pool dug on Wednesday and rebarred and rough...

Recommend a PB in the Tampa Bay area

We selected Natural Springs Pools in Lutz after hearing several positive comments from others. So far, and we are in VERY early stages of our build, they have been very responsive, spent hours with us on design, equipment, pavers, screen, etc., and seemingly on top of things. However, time...

    Help! (Almost) New Pool Owner

Hi! We love this site - it has been a great resource. We are considering signing a contract after having received bids from several builders, but the builder we like the best seems to think that not everything needs to be identified in detail in the contract. By way of example, we are not...
