I wouldn't recommend the rope thing. The cover moves and cause the rope to either gouge a groove in your deck or round over the edge if it's moving side to side.

Ladder attaches to the deck. The first step of the ladder is in the pool, so usually when people exit they step on the rail. I just wanted to make sure that whatever goes under the rail can take that pressure.

Hi. Time to open up the pool and I wanted to install a light before I fill it up. I was looking at the Aqua Luminator but saw some bad reviews on another forum. Does anyone have any recommendations/experience with pool lights in that same price range (about 100-150)? Thanks, Rick
