Just to rule out the obvious, have you flipped all the knobs at the top of the hot tub (Diverter valves). That can control which jets get water sent to them.

Luckily, this took the same heater element as my old hot tub, which was fairly new. I swapped the one from the old tub into the new(er) tub and it now powers on without issue. Here's hoping this is the last of my surprises with this thing....

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess what I find strange is that from day 1 since I got this filter, I've had problem with sand getting into the pool. I've already replaced the laterals once and it made no difference. Maybe I just got a bad filter and it's time to replace it.

I just opened the pool this morning and I checked all the laterals and there are no cracks. Sand just keeps dumping in the pool though every time the filter goes on or off. My pump size is 1HP (so I guess that isn't the problem). I can't find the gallons on the filter, but it is a big one...

I cut mine so that the polaris could bump up against the wall of the furthest point in the pool from the return. I would start there and see if it works better for you. Remember, you can always cut another foot from the hose, but you can't add it back on!
