AGP Install - Bottom higher than wall track?

I am in the process of switching out from a 48 Inch to 54 inch pool. It actually was a mistake that I bought the 54 inch walls, but it was a closeout last year so I'm stuck with it. The tricky part with this pool is that sits level with a 48 inch deck, so I need to dig down to make the 54inch...

Sundance J-300 Spa, that seems to have two issues

Just to rule out the obvious, have you flipped all the knobs at the top of the hot tub (Diverter valves). That can control which jets get water sent to them.

    Hot Tub Trips GFCI instantly

Luckily, this took the same heater element as my old hot tub, which was fairly new. I swapped the one from the old tub into the new(er) tub and it now powers on without issue. Here's hoping this is the last of my surprises with this thing....

    Hot Tub Trips GFCI instantly

I bought a used hot tub off of craigslist and am setting it up to make sure everything works. I connected the wiring from my old hot tub, however, as soon as I flip the GFCI, it trips. I disconnected the heater and it doesn't trip. I did the ohm testing and it is 11.5 when I test the leads...

    Gym Pads for AGP Base

Yes, it's essentially the same material as the ones from the amazon site (minus the colors)...so high density foam. They are only a half inch thick, but I probably have enough to double up if one layer doesn't seem to do it.

    Gym Pads for AGP Base

I am going to need to replace the liner in my pool this year and was thinking of trying a different base than just sand. It is going to be difficult to haul into my backyard and and get in the pool as the entire pool is surrounded by a deck. I've see that you can use the pink foam and am kind...

    Hayward H1001 won't ignite

Never mind. I cleaned the gas lines and it fired right up.

    Hayward H1001 won't ignite

I have a Hayward H150 76,000 BTU heater that I use for my above ground pool. When I hooked it up for this season, the pilot light won't ignite. I can here clicking and the fan is spinning, but no flame (or heat) is being generated. Does this mean that there is an issue with the gas line not...

    Heater Issue

It looks like the tub wasn't properly converted to 220V. The jumper pin was switched to 50A, but the wiring was never switched over. I fixed that and the tub now seems to be heating properly. I guess with no side panels and only 1.5Kw available for heat, it just couldn't keep up. Moral of...

    Heater Issue

I am rejuvenating a hot tub that has been sitting drained for over a year. I got everything set-up and running, but the water was heating very slowly. The hot tub is running on a 220V wiring, and the temp went from 45 to 80 degrees in 24 hours. I then drained the tub, swapped out the heating...

    Crack in Air Injection line

We recently moved our hot tub and during the move, we somehow cracked off the hose that leads from the air induction dial down into the spa plumbing. My question is, would there be any harm in running the hot tub with this hose not connected to the dial? Logically, I'm thinking that with this...

    High Combined Chlorine

I opened my pool last Saturday and the water was in pretty good shape upon opening. I've been running the filter 24/7 for a week now and it seems to be slowly improving, but it's still cloudy. I just got back from the pool store and here are my numbers: FC: 4.0 CC: 4.1 TC: 8.1 PH: 7.3 CH: 150...

    Intex SWG

Has anyone else noticed that these are now coming with a 2 year warranty? I just read through the manual today and it looks like they increased the warranty by a year. I'll certainly take that.

    Where to purchase bleach

I've been buying 5 gallon drums of 12.5% chlorinating liquid for $10 each from my local Ace Hardware. I'm not sure if all Aces carry it or not, but mine has been for the past 4-5 years at least. There is a one time deposit on the drums.

    Buoyancy in SW Pools

I recently installed a SWG on my 21' Above Ground Pool. Since I just opened the pool a few days ago, the water is still cloudy and I can't see the bottom of the pool. Additionally, I also have a Polaris 65 automatic cleaner that I usually just leave hooked up to the return so it is always...

    Help with Hayward H150 Heater

This happened to me last year. To fix it, I took of the top of the unit (it was very simple...just 6 philips head screws) and just gave the fan a spin. You'll see the fan when you take the top off. It's covered by a big circle. There was something lodged in there and by manually turning it...

    Help with Hayward H150 Heater

I have that same heater as well. Are you hearing a fan start up when you turn the unit on? That would at least let you know if it has power. When you turn the dial to start heating, you should hear a fan come on for a few minutes, and then it tries to ignite. If you don't hear the fan...

Oversized Pump for 21' Above Ground pool

Sorry to keep bringing this up, but I'm really trying to get to the bottom of this and I just thought of something else. One thing I found strange about this particular filter is that the center pipe is not long enough to allow the lateral house to sit all the way to the bottom of the filter...

Oversized Pump for 21' Above Ground pool

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess what I find strange is that from day 1 since I got this filter, I've had problem with sand getting into the pool. I've already replaced the laterals once and it made no difference. Maybe I just got a bad filter and it's time to replace it.

Oversized Pump for 21' Above Ground pool

I just opened the pool this morning and I checked all the laterals and there are no cracks. Sand just keeps dumping in the pool though every time the filter goes on or off. My pump size is 1HP (so I guess that isn't the problem). I can't find the gallons on the filter, but it is a big one...

    Intex SWG

I just received my Intex unit last night, and it looks like they are now shipping them with a bunch of different fittings so that you can use them with any existing plumbing. My advice would be to wait until you receive the unit to go buying anything. Chances are, they will have what you need...

    Adjusting the polaris 65

What do you mean when you say it's not moving right? Is it only going in one direction?

Oversized Pump for 21' Above Ground pool

When I backwash my pool, I usually get sand spitting out of the return for the first few seconds that I turn the pump back to filter mode. I've checked all the pipes in the filter and they all seem to be fine, no cracks or anything. So after doing some research, I think that I probably have a...

    Adjusting the polaris 65

I cut mine so that the polaris could bump up against the wall of the furthest point in the pool from the return. I would start there and see if it works better for you. Remember, you can always cut another foot from the hose, but you can't add it back on!

    Opening Pool and Adding SWG

I plan to open my 21 ft. above ground pool this weekend and also install a SWG at the same time. My question is, should I get the pool balanced and clear first and then add salt or can I add salt to a green pool? My gut tells me to wait until I have it balanced and ready to swim, but I'd also...
