    Sand Filter @ 40+ psi?

Its terrible once something has failed. You lose faith in it and always see it as the weak link. Thanks for the feedback!

Amazon had the Jandy Neverlubes for the cheapest when I replaced mine FYI. Good luck.

    Sand Filter @ 40+ psi?

NICE call! I'm sitting at 24 psi now with main, cleaner, and skimmer all pulling. Doesn't that still seem a little high though? I feel good that is true because it matches the other gauge when I first installed it. I'm just nervous because the other 2 tanks both split on the manufacturers...

    Sand Filter @ 40+ psi?

I actually have another one. Long story but I'm on my 3rd filter. The 2nd failed under warranty and Ranger just sent a whole new package (valve assembly included) instead of just the tank. I'll go try it now and verify I don't have a faulty gauge. Thank you.

    Pad for pump

I used 2 pavers (large maybe 12" x 12" to get mine where it needed to be. IMHO I wouldn't pour a little bit of concrete. Just find something that fits and is the right height. In the future you may want to change pumps and need the height.

    Sand Filter @ 40+ psi?

My sand filter is running at an extremely high pressure compared to what I've read is "normal". I realize every setup is different but is this too much for a filter to handle? I say 40+ psi because the gauge is pegged. Oh and when I originally filled the filter with sand it was reading ~25 or...

    Restoration IG Vinyl- Cartersville GA

Haha yeah she was a little beyond patching. Staying! Although we've got lots of equity it took us a long time to find this one. 3 car garage on a 1 acre lot. Hard to find that in a newer home.

    Restoration IG Vinyl- Cartersville GA

Thanks! It's not really "outdoor". Just used 1/2" galvanized steel for the pipes and ss braided cable for the support. The head is just a $20 plastic piece from Amazon. So if rots after 2-3 summers I can replace easily. I think it turned out nicely with a bit of industrial feel to it.! - -...

    Restoration IG Vinyl- Cartersville GA

Thanks for looking! I'll have to check Lowes/HD again. I couldn't find any of the "pool style" unions with orings. And absolutely I'll be building another retaining wall. In the early pics you see some fresh gravel by the equipment. That was a temporary french drain to keep the nasty GA red...

    Restoration IG Vinyl- Cartersville GA

Hello All, We bought a foreclosure in 2013 and have slowly been getting everything fixed up. We've done everything from resurfacing to moving the entire equipment pad to finishing a studded out pool house. All the while fixing up a house that was equally in disrepair. We got to enjoy our...

Proud owner of a glorious swamp!

My .02 from another warm climate guy in North GA. I also didn't close mine last year and just ran the pump when the temp got low near freezing. It was more than we ever usually get but our water/sewer cost is high enough to allow for a bunch of electric costs. IE to truly close properly you...

Liner installed over old jet - what to do?

That's true. If its an old line anyways who cares about grinding it off!

Liner installed over old jet - what to do?

Great idea but his still has the fitting in it. OP - you wouldn't be able to do this idea without first removing the fitting entirely. And to do that you'll have to be on the outside of the pool wall. (I just fixed my leaking return so I know all too well how the fittings go together)

Need HELP - Satin Matrix just installed - drains filled

Speaking only from a reasonable consumers perspective I would want to be made whole (fix it). That isn't unreasonable and when you are in the middle of the situation you tend to rationalize a compromise. Fight for what should have been in the beginning and you will be happier in the long run.

Bought a house...theres a hole in the backyard

Bump. Your pool is the closest I can find to the one we have an offer in on (foreclosure). I'd love to hear if you've done anything else with this or had it repaired? (Mine is empty and has been for sometime causing the floor to need major repairs).
