Leak in vinyl liner - what steps should we take?

The attached photo shows the water line right after we removed the cover. The light niches were still under water at this point. Did we jump the gun by removing the winter plugs and allowing the water into the pipes? Should we cap all the intakes and returns and let the leak continue until it...

We just removed cover and in the process of adding water to begin opening process of testing, treating, clearing, balancing etc. It became obvious we’ve got a leak somewhere. We’ve not started the system yet so Pretty sure it’s in the liner, but honestly, I don’t have a clue where to start...

IntelliChlor green lights flashing left to right or all at once

Disregard my previous post….. I just attempted successfully to move the thing to my desired selection of 20% every hour. Apparently the interpretation of all the various light messages is a bit out of my wheelhouse….. Like so many technical things are for me these days. So relieved it appears...

IntelliChlor green lights flashing left to right or all at once

The problem I ran into is that I’m unable to cancel the boost mode. I’ve followed the instructions by pressing more and less buttons at the same time. The lights will just change from simultaneous flashing to left to right flashing. They will not return to stationary green light at my choice of...

IntelliChlor green lights flashing left to right or all at once

I’ve had no luck stopping this and have no idea what it means. I’ve held less and more buttons and it will only change to flashing green left to right or all flashing green at the same time. Cell is only a few years old. Please share your advice.

    The Green Monster Next Door...

I bet the news crew may have been interested in the mosquito breeding ground you're dealing with when they were imploring folks to get rid of standing water! Neighbors wouldn't have been happy, but they should be ashamed of themselves

Brand New Pool, Whisperflo Pump WILL NOT PRIME

:party:We have prime!!!!!! The culprit was the pipe going directly into front of the pump!! OH what a AWESOME feeling.. to see water coming out of the returns!!! Once that section was removed and replaced, she primed within seconds. Pressure gauge on filter shows 15 psi. Now we can add salt...

Brand New Pool, Whisperflo Pump WILL NOT PRIME

Dave - This is a DYI project. Hired excavation, electrical, pool bottom & liner installation. DH did all the plumbing. Jason - Yes we've isolated the suction lines and tried each one separately. The pump may actually be at or slightly below water level. DH just realized he didn't seal the...

Need Help & Opinions Please - Ready for collar, pool not perfectly square

Dave - You just made us feel a whole lot better... Thanks! We were thinking we would have to take one whole side apart & move it. Decking will be concrete. Visually, at this point anyway, I don't see anything that would make me think it's not square; however that said, if we leave it as is...

Apparently so, Jason!... Glad you included the link.. I was thinking "what do my joints have to do with it"...:hammer: LOL!!! Anyway, it just sucks to think we've got it right, then put corners & steps in & find out we're off. I just hope the last portion on the end (steps) is all we have to...

DIY build - Help with cutting holes in steel wall panel

We bought our the basic kit from Royal but chose to get our equipment from other sources and saved a bunch:whoot:. However, because we didn't buy our lights from Royal, they wouldn't send us "light" panels:shock:. Now we need to determine what's the best way to cut the hole for the light niches...

DIY Dig will begin in a month.. Second guessing EVERYTHING

Superfly - A few months back hadn't even questioned having main drain, but after doing research on here, started questioning if it was truly necessary. Check this thread out: http://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/38683-Do-I-even-need-a-main-drain. I'd read that the main source of leak issues in...

DIY Dig will begin in a month.. Second guessing EVERYTHING

WOW!!.. Way more than I would have expected. At this point, we're under budget so thought I could upgrade, but if cantilevered concrete is that much more than standard aluminum coping.. probably wouldn't be worth it. Thanks for replying Donny!

    Please review proposed skimmer/return layout

Okay.. Made a couple of changes to drawing. Now I'm down to 4 total returns. Is this enough, given we won't have main drains? It seems to me there's a consensus here that if you maximize circulation with skimmers and returns, you can get by without the mains. Is that correct...
