Question on using borate , does it really help control algae

My ph is stable around 7.5-7.8 and my ta is stable to, how can I low ph with out lowing ta ?? or should I just let my ph still at 7.8 .

Thanks yes ch is chlorine . No SWG system just chlorine pool are you sure on have FC at 5 that seam high . That my be why I always have some problem because I always was told not to go above FC 3. Should I use borate or not I have read about it ,some say yes and some say maybe ??

Thanks for the help , One more question is does adding bleach raise ph . I do not have any borate in my pool.should I add borate because I'am using bleach and baking soda but not borate. My water readings Ta 60 - 90 Ph 7.5 - 7.8 Cya 60 - 70 Ch 1.5 - 2 Thanks

I lower my ph than My ta goes down , so I have to raise my ta back up using baking soda , than my ph goes up. I feel like I'am going in circles.
