Everyone always looks at me strangely when I tell them about baking soda, Borax, Bleach etc. You can save so much by just going to Costco, Walmart, etc. I guess if you have the money, it's easier for people to jsut go to the pool store and tell them what to do.

This automatic cleaner consistently gets stuck on the suction line at the bottom of my pool. Just the perfect size to get stuck and not be able to free itself. Anyone else have this problem? anything that can be added to the vacuum? or maybe making the cap on the suction line a little...

I've had a SWG for a few years. The first couple of years I blindly followed the Pool Company's directions. Paid way too much for salt....then weekly "renewal". First, where can you buy salt for the pool? Do you need any kind of weekly additive? What chemicals should be closely monitored...
