Any suggestions how to replace leg cap of filled up pool?

At the end of last season I posted about my Intex AGP and rust I got (yeah, ultra frame :() Intex was nice enough to send me replacement after I send them half of the pool assembly (6 legs, 6 t-joints, and 6 rail pieces). I did that including 6 plastic leg caps (it was all together). They sent...

Rust on Ultra Frame after 2 months :(

Sorry, not quite sure about salt comment. This is a very small 2k gallon pool, and I'm just using whatever tiny filter pump it came with, running it 4hr a day and cleaning filter every week. Nothing more or less. Saltwater Chlorine generator would probably cost me 2x as much as I paid for the...

Rust on Ultra Frame after 2 months :(

Just surface, but still this ain't right. From the other thread reply, sounds like Intex doesn't really give a cr@p about this, but will see. I will continue pinging them... At the same time, the price we pay for these pools is dirt cheap - so you get what you paid for. I just saw Target...

    Rusted Intex Frame

Looks like we got ultra frame tubes from the same batch :( Just posted a similar topic here: rust-on-ultra-frame-after-2-months-t53365.html - and this is after 2 months of hot NJ weather, not much of raining AND weekly visits to a local pool store to test water where they provided me with...

Rust on Ultra Frame after 2 months :(

It was a great summer and kids enjoyed our 12'x36" intex ultra frame pool. This weekend I drained and took it down to find this: We are talking about pool that went up in the middle of June, and used during this hot Jersey summer and not too much rain. That doesn't sound/look right...

    Running filter on a timer?

@jimmydont529: can you post pictures or some general instructions of what you did? Which replacement plug did you get, with amp rating to match timer, etc? I assume once you open Intex GFCI plug it will be easy to figure out which wire goes to which connector on replacement plug? Based on...

    Running filter on a timer?

I did confirm it with someone who is not using extension cord and still has a problem.

    Running filter on a timer?

If that's a case, which quite possibly could be, between people at my work and here at the forum we got 6 defective plugs :( I probably shouldn't be complaining considering how much this pool cost brand new and came bundled with a filter and a ladder, but still a bummer. I guess will have to...

    Running filter on a timer?

Either unplugging the extension chord or timer off, that's the same line interrupt, ground or whatever (ground fault interrupter - the whole point of it). @danpik: can you look up please the exact brand and model of your timer? I am not doubting you, but you seem to be the only one with a...

    Running filter on a timer?

Most of the people I talked to are having the same problem. GFCI on filter connector trips because timer in off state interrupts the ground. I just wish Intex would just provide a filter with a regular plug. Will try to call them tomorrow as well.

    Pics of our Intex 12'x36"

It just funny how $190 pool purchase turned into $2k+ project hiring contractor to build a patio lol!!! Those guys spent 2 1/2 days, 12 hours in first day to level everything, and another 12 hours in the next day to fill in and compact layers, and install pavers, and then 1/2 day to plant trees...

    Running filter on a timer?

The timer I got is 15amp heavy duty outdoor by GE (http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R ... reId=10051). Correct, Test/Rest are GFCI components built into the chord. And it exactly how I discovered it, the Reset was tripping once I connect timer to the filter, and only worked once I...

    Pics of our Intex 12'x36"

A few weeks ago I introduced myself to this forum with should-i-remove-the-grass-t45953.html topic. I figured now its time to post a few pics since the pool has been up and running for a week. True, it's a small pool, but for starters with two little kids I figured it will last us for a few...

    Running filter on a timer?

From the spec of my very basic Krystal Clear Model 603 filter pump which came with 12'x36" 2k gallon pool, it pumps at a rate of about 500 g/h, so I will need at least 4 hours for a full cycle. Would that be a recommend daily run of the filter or maybe add some margin to run it close to 5-6 hr...

    Should I remove the grass?

Well, learned my lesson #2, oh and feel free to rub it in my face with "I told you so" :( I wasn't that concerned with a smell of the grass since I used two layers of heavy duty tarp with foam insulation in between. Also, my leveling measurements were done at 4 corners - big mistake. As I...

    Should I remove the grass?

Weed wacked the grass, laid down tarp/insulation sandwich, put 1 sq ft pavers under each leg (had to put then on the grass under the two layers of tarp and as far away from the bottom edge of the pool so it doesn't rub against - frame legs are standing closer to the edge of pavers), assembled...

    Should I remove the grass?

First of all, thank you for all the replies! Very helpful info and in general this is the BEST forum/community for any above the ground pool needs! I have been driving myself crazy for the last couple of days to the point of contemplating if I should take back the pool lol!!! But, I think...

    Should I remove the grass?

Physically dig it out or Round Up spray to kill it? My concern with digging it out will mess up my relative leveling :(

    Should I remove the grass?

My first post, total pool noob :) I figured will start with a smaller one since I have 4yr and 7yr old at home who are still learning to swim. Just bought Intex 12'x36" Ultra Frame from Target ($190). Also got two heavy duty 12'x16' brown tarps from HD (10mil thick) and thinking about...
