If it was me I'd just buy a new pump and do it myself.. I heard of homeowners doing there home work and sometimes they get lucky and can just get a new model of the same brand and the supply and return are in the same spots... You can have the motor...

Well said.... I forgot everyone doesn't have the size pool I have..... I bet if I left my pump on all winter here in MN I could circulate the water until the pump cover cracks that's my guess.... Go Vikes
