    Pebble covered my bubbler

Ok thank you for the great info, I appreciate it. We finished the pool plaster, they fixed the bubbler and did a fairly good job. Now we noticed two more things: cracks in the plaster finish and cracks along the tile grout line. There are about 8 plaster cracks along the edge of the baja shelf...

    Pebble covered my bubbler

Yes thank you that is what they are doing now, but I guess my question would be: is there harm in doing this so soon after the plaster has been applied? They drained it down about half way and want us to wait 6 hours to fill to allow dry time. Is this going to affect the finish negatively?

    Pebble covered my bubbler

PB says pebble guys want to drain the pool to the bubbler (2nd step height) on Friday and chip out around the bubbler, patch around it, acid wash, then refill the pool. This would mean that the pool was filled for only 48-72 hrs before having the water level lowered below tile line.

    Pebble covered my bubbler

Hello, If you have read my last thread, the PB, tile company, and mason came through for me and redid some of the tile on my water feature so that it is acceptable now (not nearly as good as I had expected, but acceptable none the less...) Anyway, we moved on to shooting interior and the pebble...

Water feature tile not even, lippage

Thank you. Is this common knowledge such that my Mason and/or PB should have known this?

Water feature tile not even, lippage

Im not sure what you are getting at but I’ll play. The tile was expected to be flat and square per NPT’s display and online photos. Its not like there was a disclaimer stating “pool tile may not be as flat and straight as shown”. So nobody (me, PB, or Mason) expected the tile to be wonky. As...

Water feature tile not even, lippage

Hello, This is for a remodel with a brand new water feature wall. PB had mason build wall using cement block and same mason put on all the tile. Tile is from NPT large format 12x24” Slate color. As you can see from the pictures, there are dips and “lippage” from most of the tiles creating a very...

    Update Coping and Deck

Ok sounds good. We have a 1” overhang so cut off close to 1-1/8”? 1-1/4”? Also depth of cut and dangers of cutting into the shell a bit. Im no stranger to power tools but cutting off pool coping is on a list of skills I never thought I would need. Our perimeter is straight angles, no curves. How...

    Update Coping and Deck

Thank you for the detailed message, it helps tremendously. Unfortunately we are stuck in our pool remodel phase as we were scammed by a contractor who isnt licensed to do pools and subsequently had his license revoked (long story). Waiting for AZ ROC to help us with restitution. We won’t have a...

    Update Coping and Deck

Hi All, Im trying to figure out the best way to modernize our pool (built in 2007). We currently have a small pool remodel company helping us with a baja shelf and update the plaster to pebble as well as adding a new water feature. At the time, we didnt have the budget to update the deck but...
