Assuming it’s a spider gasket issue, but water is coming through the return during backwashing and rinsing. It’s also coming out of the backwash port like normal. I have the S244T Hayward Sand filter, which of course I’ve heard is a major pain to replace the spider gasket in. Thoughts?

Just got our pool installed, it is an above ground. Filled the water up to the skimmer and noticed a streamline leak was flowing down the wall close to the bottom corner of the skimmer. So can I seal it with an apoxy or putty? Or will I need to drain the water and fix the gasket.
