There are no problems with those FC levels. It's right in line with the FC/CYA ratio for a regularly chlorinated pool. It shouldn't damage your liner or equipment in either situation.

It's hard to say because you have to take organics and the AA into account. If my math is right, 4 oz. of AA neutralizes 1 ppm of FC in 12000 gallons. That means if you only take the AA into account, you need 4 ppm of FC to eliminate the AA. In your pool, 4 ppm FC is 60 oz of 10% bleach. I...

It's possible but it most likely a chemistry issue. As I'm sure you are aware..those strips are no good. I would guess your pH and TA are way too high which is causing the scaling. You really need a reliable test kit to know for sure. PS - Looks like the FC is too low as well.
