Fix finally gave up. Pool is leaking again at the skimmer. There is no obvious problem with the seam around the edge of the skimmer wall. I'm guessing its in the pipe connections to the skimmer, or between pipes themselves. Brutal dry in northern California, and the clay is dryer than it's been...

Summer update. No problems, and the fix has held just fine. The real test will come in November/December, when the rains come and the water table starts shifting around the soil. But for the last six months, I've been very pleased with it.

How did it go? I've isolated my leak to my two pipe black bottom skimmer, and duh, saw I have two screws missing in the black plate.

My pump basket has leaves and debris in it. When I shut off the pump and open the filter valve to remove the pump cover, all the debris is pushed back into the pipes where I can't retrieve it. Is this happening to others, or is there a fix?
