Talked to a Pentair tech rep a little bit ago and she said to use 4 or 5 dots of glue to hold the gasket in place and no lube needed on top of the gasket once installed.

Tried to ask on the pentair site but no response in 2 days. Guess I might have to call. Was hoping someone here might know.

Thanks for the pics. The way I understand it, is that the foam is temporary and should be replaced by caulk or mastic to prevent water from entering the expansion joint. Still waiting for the other quotes.

So I should add salt to save on electric, but it will not effect my chlorine output? The manual states it will work with salt levels up to 34,000 but I'm guessing that would be a little corrosive.
