ph was low so i added baking soda to raise ph instead of soda ash - now ph is good but alkalinity is very high-stained pool-i have 24 lbs of ascobic acid to remove stain --should i lower my alkalinity first or will the ascobic acid lower my alkalinity and help me get balanced-or should i use...

when i test ph pool -it reads 7.4 thenif i let it sit it goes to 8.0 -- using taylor k-2006 -

test water is yellow- can't get a ph reading? -- end of last year ph was great-had 15 " of rain -kept draining off excess-added 45lbs of baking soda- readings ta 100 cya 40 cal 250 cl not readable :whoot:

any ideas how to get it back clear?
