    Air leak questions...

Ok, so it seems like it is the SWG causing the bubbles! Thanks for the solution Mark! So I guess I need to research how much bubbleage is normal for an Aqua Pure 1400. Mods can move this thread if you think it should. Rob

    Air leak questions...

I can see a few very small bubbles in the basket, but not many at all. I do have a SWG, but I can't imagine the amount of bubbles I'm seeing come from that, but maybe they do. That would make sense with the cell turning on and off. I could try turning it off for a good amount of time and see if...

    Air leak questions...

Hi all! This has been happening since my pool was new(July 2008). Air bubbles coming from the returns. The kicker is that it's intermittent, about 10 minutes of bubbles then 10 minutes of no bubbles. My builder hasn't found the problem, although they haven't REALLY tried(that's another story...

    Rob and Cate's new mess...

Thanks John! :) Nothing much new to report... They showed up yesterday to move the waterfall boulders from my driveway to the pool area, so hopefully that will come together soon. The weather has improved, so maybe that will help move things along...I hope! :( Rob

    Rob and Cate's new mess...

Thanks John! Thanks Joyce! Well, things are moving painfully slow right now. I'm getting a little discouraged... As it stands, the plumber still has to come back and move one pump, I haven't heard from the electrician or concrete deck guy at all, and the propane guys are...

Rained over weekend, huge mess, aching back!

Wow, Cindy, I have to agree...you guys shouldn't be doing that! The PB should take care of ALL that clean up. With that kind of weather coming, the hole should have been covered before the rain even started. Let them fix it! ;) Rob

    Rob and Cate's new mess...

Here's a few new pics!!! I'm told by the PB that it's "epoxy paint". It's what they do I guess... I can't argue it because I'm clueless on that one. Well, we have tile(Master Tile Stardust Series)and equipment set... Rob

    Need info on waterfall build...

Yes, the bottom of the shelf and the curb up the back is all covered. I guess I'm trying to find out about the choice of material used. Will tar sitting in water last? Will it do anything funky to the water? Rob

    Need info on waterfall build...

Thanks for the replies, guys! Here is a closer pic of the shelf before the tar coating. I'm estimating the stone will be sitting in about 3" of water. Does this all make sense? :? It's raining here today, so I'll try to get a pic with the coating tomorrow.

    Need info on waterfall build...

I haven't talked to my PB about this yet because I wanted to see what you guys think. I'm having a small waterfall done and my PB is using a shelf to build it on. The stone that sits in the shelf will be sitting in about 3-4" of water. I came home the other day to find the gunite shelf coated...

    Rob and Cate's new mess...

Yeah, John, things are in the slow stage for us. We now have the equipment set and tiles ordered. I really need some help with this one... I've searched and searched looking for info on the waterfall building process. I can't find much and I'm assuming there are quite a few methods around...

Excavator not digging steps is this right???

I believe that is correct. A lot of extra gunite is generated while the shell is shot. They will use this "extra" gunite to build up and shape the steps. Rob

Mushroom man says "Thumbs up" on the kabobs, Joyce!!! :whoot: hehe... Thanks John! I think you're just a little bit ahead of us...we just got the equipment delivery. So, we're waiting to set that and schedule the plumbers, electricians, and propane guys. We're also just picking out the tile...

    Pool collapsed in rain

I'm no expert, but I think you'll be ok. It looks like your PB did a really nice job on staking it out and the steel work, so they should be able to set it straight. And six weeks for permits??? Wow.. if you can make it through that, you can make it through anything!!! Rob
