If your ready to throw in the towel on products... you could have the pool drained and acid washed. Btw, did you move into this house with this problem? or did it develop over time?

    Advice????

There may be a few more steps than your bargaining for... your transferring an above ground "doughboy style" pool? You may want to inspect the inlet/outlet gaskets, skimmer gasket, 4ft coving sections (recommended to use, instead of sand) and Coping strips. Maybe this can help...

Testing, learning to trust my own eyes

Re: Celebrate or start pouring...pH readings from different You might be having funny Ph readings due to a false alkalinity reading. Its very odd that each kit tests differently though. This may suggest one of the is bad. Remember that CYA levels above 60 need a 1/3 of the value subtracted...

    CH test turns purple?

13 Month old reagents can be the cause of false results... Curious, can poolrx, Nature2, or Frog mineral purifiers be a source of metal ions causing this as well? Chelating the water with 25oz @ 16kgal bottle of Natural Chemistry Metal Free or various others can only help. Be absolutely sure...
