Dents in bottom of pool - help

Hm I think that's unlikely for me since I have several. Wouldn't we see bubbles if we were leaking?

Dents in bottom of pool - help

My husband and I just noticed a few small dents in the bottom of our above ground pool that was just installed. I swear they weren't there before but can't be certain. They are also on the sloped part near the sides. Our worst is about the side of a golf ball. We didn't know if it was just a...

Small tear in liner (doesn't go all the way through) - Pic

We have a really small tear in the (brandy new) liner - above the water line - as if the first layer was removed, but it doesn't go all the way through. Here's a couple pics (tear at the bottom of the fin): Not sure if we need to be concerned about it, so would appreciate your opinions...

Katkami's AG Pool Build - Now with Time Lapse Video :D

We've been working our tail feathers off! We finished the lighting around the pool, the drainage pipe & crushed stone around the pool, and planted some flowers. Looking forward to seeing the grass start growing, but thought I'd post some progress pics for ya'll...

    AG Ladder Woes

Lookee - we finally got around to fixing it. Raised the ladder with the excess pieces and attached to the deck - also made sure to fill with water - doesn't seem to float now... Thanks again for all your suggestions. At some point we'll probably consider the cake style steps, but this will...

    Poop in the pool

Lol you got my attention Eskimo! You also got me to thinking, so I did a little research (I have friends with young 'uns and a new pool). I think E'Coli is the biggest concern, I found a good link on how to prevent it: http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/ ... lekey=7402

    Rusty Skimmer Screws

Hi all, I just had my pool installed a few weeks back, and already all the screws (on the inside of the pool) that hold on the skimmer are all rusty. I'm thinking of calling the pool company to complain - but just wanted to check with you guys first to see if this is "normal" or not.

Cost to run an electric heat pump?

Zab - AquaCal has a program I used when researching my heat pump - it will take all the variables that people have discussed and spell everything out for you... here's the link: http://www.aquacal.com/heat-pump-information/heaters/pool-audit.html

Katkami's AG Pool Build - Now with Time Lapse Video :D

Hi Mike, Thanks! Our pool is 21', but the deck is only 12' long. I've got an 8mil solar cover, and by myself, I'm able to roll it up and slide it onto the deck - it will fit in front of the bar. To get it on w/o being in the pool, I slide my arm between the pool & the fencing. I'm not...

    Lulupalooza's Pool Build

Lulu your pool looks great! I personally wouldn't sweat the front lawn. The fact that they messed the install up the first time is scary! Good thing you got it fixed. My AGP build should've taken "3 days", ended up taking 3 weeks, and I've got way worse track marks on both sides of my front...

    Deck Box Coushions

So I've got one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Suncast-DB9750-Ex ... m_ol_img_3 and I'm thinking of picking up 2 more for various places in the yard... BUT.... I'd like to dress them up with some coushions. Then I see a 4' coushion is like $40 cheapest on Amazon.com...

    AG Ladder Woes

Woah I had no idea there were holes that were supposed to be filled with water. We'll have to check that out. Plus there were a bunch of extra parts he left - I wonder if I can somehow use those to fasten it to the deck (if it will reach). Grrr - yeah - he was in a rush to leave and we...

    AG Ladder Woes

My top rail is 12", plus an inch or so of a gap before my deck starts - I'd need probably about 16" before I could safely screw it into the deck - would you say it's that long?

    AG Ladder Woes

Thanks JC - Sounds like the measurements are good, but drilling holes through our brand new deck is skeery and a big commitment for a ladder that still floats. :(

    AG Ladder Woes

Thanks guys - Royal entrance is probably not going to work for us it says "will fit either a 48” or 52” deep pool" Wedding cake steps - do those have to attach somewhere? Seems like they'd take a lot of real estate in our 21' pool. I heard some concerns about circulation & taking them...

    AG Ladder Woes

So we're not liking our ladder situation that came with the new pool. Here's a pic of it: http://www.aboveground-swimming-pools.c ... adder.html The PB Screwed it directly onto our pool top railings. The ladder is floating (gotta put weights on it - but it's causing the top rail to bend...

1st Test with TF Test Kit

Hi all, I did another CYA test and the water at least looked cloudy this time rather then clear - although I could see the black dot fine so I guess that means I'm still at 0. Also - I don't think I got an answer on this one: PH 7.8 (I only saw this test in the daily plastic blue box - or did...
