I have an issue with leaking coming from the top connection out of the booster pump. When just the pool is on, there is a small leak, but when you turn booster on the vacuum, it really pumps it out then. Wonder what method I should use to fix that... glue, putty, whatnot. Any recommendations? TYIA

Well, it appears the actuator for my spa control died last night. The switch on the back doesn't move it back and forth anymore. I did take the motor off the top of it and manually moved it so the spa would keep water at least. I will check to see if the connection came loose from either side...

We got these in North Fort Worth, TX also... Shortly after a rain. What I'm concerned about is my filter now. Looks like these guys are small enough to make it through the baskets. Think I'll need to clean out the big boy filter this weekend now.

Re: Is it possible for gunite to leak? Ok... I suck at checking this board from time to time!!! Update on here... PB found a 'spec' of something in a valve going to the spa. Bascially, they said that spec of PVC dust was causing the valve to not have a seal and water was leaking before it got...

We had the Turbo Twister installed with our pool and the kids love it!! Not to mention the occasional slide down by us parents :)

Re: Is it possible for gunite to leak? The light is in the middle of the waterfall, on the inside, of course. There is a jet just a little counter clockwise from the right waterfall edge also.

We had an abbreviated pool season since we just finished our pool last month, but my kids didn't complain about their feet with the PebbleSheen.

Our PB had an upgrade to go from plaster to pebbletec, but the pebble didn't have an upgrade from there. Meaning pebbletec & pebblesheen were both the same price. There was an upgrade for the darker colors, but we went with the mainstream granite or aqua, can't remember which. Also had LED...

I believe you have to replace the housing and everything if you're going from a regular light to an LED one.

IIRC, it dropped from about 15 to 5 when we adjusted the speed down the first time... During pool school, he reset all the air and such, so it was around there. Then again, wifey (Monkey's Mom) should be at the house, so she could tell you for certain.

That is a very nice looking pool!!!! I didn't see a variable speed pump in there and would ask why. I think in the long run, it would help on electrical costs. And if they are building the pad for the BBQ area, make sure they run the gas and have at least an electrical outlet there. You never...

From what I remember PB saying, there should not be a concern... If he doesn't seal the stone though, I was going to make sure we did. Prolly reseal every 2 years would be my thought also. And would mainly be a precautionary step.

Wife did confirm the smaller flagstone pieces of coping will be backed up with another piece instead of decking. Should be getting another layer of tile in the tanning ledge also. Work is almost done on the spa waterfall too!!

They've been working on coping, tile, tanning ledge & veneer... Long process getting that flagstone the right size!!! Looks like a bomb went off in the backyard! :)
