    Drain or SLAM

Thanks Jim. We are in Haslet. Cost of water isn’t an issue as we are on a well, but worried about all the rain and it popping out of the ground.

    Drain or SLAM

This is what it looked like on google earth. I’m assuming it’s plaster? Don’t really want to stick my hand in there and find out!

    Drain or SLAM

It’s a gunite/plaster pool. I have no idea about size or equipment. I “think” it’s a cartridge filter. We haven’t opened it. Hoping the pool repair guy can give more insight tomorrow.

    Drain or SLAM

My neighbor had his 5th heart attack and has been in the hospital for 3-4 weeks trying to stabilize and get an LVAD pump. We are trying to help him with his yard and pool. I have a pool guy coming tomorrow to see if we can get the pump working. Is this possible to treat with SLAM or would...

    Intellichlor diagnostics

No advice?!! I've tried reconnecting all the cables, resetting the system shows OK for a bit but doesn't read salt level and reverts back to COM LINK ERROR within 5 minutes. New salt cell is producing chlorine.

    Intellichlor diagnostics

Short story...Pool is almost 5 years old. This summer we have had issues keeping chlorine in the pool. Intellichlor IC40 constantly blinked check cell despite cleaning multiple times with water/muriatic acid. Cell showed 60% usage and failed to connect to Easy Touch showing COM LINK ERROR...

Green pool need help with SLAM

Thank you Pat and Kim! I don't think y'all would want to swim in this green mess but it is already starting to look better. I'll brush it after work and add more bleach! Notice the supply of bleach on the outdoor kitchen counter. We've already gone through 6 bottles;)

Today's numbers... PH 8.0 (added 34 oz MA) FC 9 (lowered SWG from 60% to 50%) CC 0.5 TA 110 CH 450 CYA 50 (hasn't been a week since we added CYA) My PH keeps going really high. Hopefully I get my TF-100 refill kit soon as I am running out of chemicals.

Home from vacation and pool is green!

This morning's test results... FC 7 (lowered the SWG from 100% to 60%) CC 0.5 to possibly 1 ??? One drop got it clear, but two drops got it more clear, if that makes any sense  PH 8.2 (added MA to lower to 7.8 since we added CYA last night and that will lower PH more) I will re-test...

Home from vacation and pool is green!

We passed the OCLT test last night so we are done with the SLAM! I am going to monitor the FC level as it comes down but I need to add salt and CYA. When is the best time to add these? When can I trust the Ph level?

Home from vacation and pool is green!

I'm afraid to stop...it won't hurt to continue to SLAM one more day and re-check the over-night test will it? When can I get accurate results on all the tests? When should I add the salt (reading 2900) and CYA (last tested was 30)? When will my PH be accurate? Do I need to wait until my...

Home from vacation and pool is green!

Pool school has over-night test with 0.5 loss vs SLAM is 1.0 loss of FC. Last night our FC was 15 before we went to bed and this morning it was 14. Pool looks great and we started with 0.5 CC so I assume it is still that, although I can check. Do I continue to SLAM or are we done?

    help!

My pool wasn't as green as yours is, but we are currently on day 3 of the SLAM process and have used 12 (122 oz) 8.25% jugs of bleach. Our pool looks awesome right now but we are still losing FC so we are continuing with the SLAM process until we pass the over-night test. It is a slow...
