Just wanted to mention that the adapter brought up earlier in the thread does work nicely on these Summer Escapes pools. I have a 14' x 42" that has the adapter installed, and have had no problems.

I didn't realize that the SWG was producing copper. I just thought the bars were somehow used in the production of chlorine. Our pool is looking great, by the way. I keep the pump running for around 12 hours a day and have lately kept the SWG running for 4. Once all the CYA is...

Not sure what the brand is, it was the only stabilizer I could find at Wal-Mart. We don't have a pool shop in town, and Ace didn't have any in stock.

Just put a new pump on mine, and it has that same skimmer. I ordered one of these and it's working great. I've seen some folks just take the impeller out of the old pump and leave it on, but I felt better ordering the adapter. Summer Escapes adapter

I filled an old sock with the CYA and tied it off to the bottom of the ladder. Then added bleach to the pool for the first couple evenings. It doesn't look like the CYA is dissolving very well. Put it in three days ago. Isn't it supposed to be totally dissolved after a week or so?

Yep, I meant 90 pounds of salt. :goodjob: So you're saying I should add CYA and bleach before dumping the salt in? Nothing I've read is really clear on that. If that's the case, then I would have to wait around a week before turning the SWG, right? Since the CYA takes a while to dissolve?

No...actually you have to buy the salt system at its regular price to get that deal.

Turns out the deal you posted is a bundle that includes the salt system, which I already have. Just ordering that pump isn't possible, as they're out of stock. Can you recommend another pump that would fit my pool?

I thought my pump was 800, but the salesperson told me it was only 700. She also mentioned that the pool could handle a 2000gph pump, but I have no idea whether that's true or not. Thanks for the info regarding the Wal-Mart deal. I'll check it out.
