I run my pumps all day long but was thinking of installing a timer. When I turn off my pump, the water drains back to the pool. So how would that work out with a timer? Wouldn't that cause damage to the pump?

Hi guys, It looks like I'll need a new cover next year as mine is rotting and ripped. I was wondering where would be the best place to order a cover? Is it cheaper online or does this have to be done locally? Below is a pic of the type of cover I have. Thanks for any info.
