    Whisper Flo No pressure

The air relief has no external leaks. This is only for manual operation correct? Nothing to do with normal ops? Gauge is good. Still puzzled that the only thing I did is remove that screen and pressure changes?

    Whisper Flo No pressure

Yup, exactly. Time for new filters. But what is the screen in between the filters? That’s what affected the system from no pressure to high. Nothing else was messed with

    Whisper Flo No pressure

Took this off and full pressure, actually too high now at 30psi. What does it do? Was a little dirty but have seen it worse over the years.

    Whisper Flo No pressure

I should have full pressure on top of filter housing since it’s before the filters right?

    Whisper Flo No pressure

Removed the motor/pump from housing and ran a thin screwdriver through all vanes of impeller

    Whisper Flo No pressure

Yes, checked impeller for clogs. Cartridge filters. Filters just cleaned, but that always presents a high pressure condition when they’re dirty. Opening valve on top of filter housing is just a dribble of water.

    Whisper Flo No pressure

Have a 20yo Pentair whisperflo that has almost zero pressure. Changed strainer oring. No difference switching valves. Impeller looks good. Poored water on valves and connections. All no change. Any ideas?

    No Pressure

I just did a TSP clean on the filters; not new ones installed. These filters are only a year old; I usually get over 5 years on a set. Bought these off Amazon; probably got what I paid for..... So, flow is better, but not much, so I'm positive it's the filters now, as like you said, it's the...

    No Pressure

Update. Got all the lines fixed. Started system back up and same pressure; 4 psi. Measured each leg of motor at 8 amps; all good there. So, removed all filters and started it back up; about 15 psi. A start! Inspected everything and found the o-ring at the bottom of filter "cross" that the...

    No Pressure

Thanks all. As seen in pic, I removed the pressure line from pump to filter and it’s all clear. But, broke the coupling nut putting it back together, Grrrrr. So to HD later and then I’ll check amp draw on motor. It didn’t sound like it was slower or struggling. Also some pics of the system...

    No Pressure

Yup, 4 psi constant; dropped from 20 psi. Flow also very low. Motor/pump sounds the same as it's always been. I do have ability to check voltage and amps, which will obviously give me watts.

    No Pressure

Thanks, but I positioned all the manual suction valves shutting off/on the 3 different return lines; the floor drains, creepy floor cleaner and the skimmers. There wasn't 1 psi change. Not sure how to push water backwards on my system?

    No Pressure

I was always taught to go back to your last work when a new problem is introduced and wondered about the filters too. But why wouldn't opening the pressure relief valve on top on the housing cause the pressure to instantly increase if there was a problem with them? That valve is basically...

    No Pressure

I have an inground pool 15 years old. It has a 4 cartridge Pentair filter system with a Hayward pump and 1.5 HP single speed motor. Last Sunday I cleaned the filters, restarted it, and had excellent flow and pressure was around 20psi. Walked away and didn't pay attention to the pool until...

    CircuPool SWG Problems

Really? Drain the pool? I'll check with CircuPool again, but when I gave them all the numbers, they didn't seem overly concerned.

    CircuPool SWG Problems

CYA is right around 100. My pump is running 9 hours a day at 100% as is the generator. Just cleaned the cell this weekend and the entire system was just installed in April. I bought one step up for the size of my pool so it wouldn't have to run 100% (per company). I do see the gas coming off...

    CircuPool SWG Problems

OK, finally got one of the kits recommended for testing water. The generator will not generate enough chlorine for the pool without adding bleach to keep at acceptable levels. I did a FC overnight test as listed in the pool school and lost about .5ppm overnight, so if I understand correctly, I...

    Variable speed motor/pump worth it?

Just had my third 2hp motor go out over a 6 year period. The last was a locally rebuilt single speed motor that lasted barely 2 years. I'm considering a variable speed motor/pump combo like the Pentair Intellichoice VS3050, but they are definitely pricey compared to a $250 replacement motor...

    CircuPool SWG Problems

    CircuPool SWG Problems

New to this forum; buddy says it's great for getting info. My issue is with my new CircuPool SWG that I replaced my old Zodiac with. It won't generate chlorine at all. I have all the levels where they should be according to the company, but the techs at the company say my phosphates are too...
