    New to me SWG Pool

We are moving into a new house with a saltwater pool. I currently have a non-saltwater pool that I use the BBB method on and have it down with no issues. The pool inspection was yesterday and everything checked out except for the heater needs to be replaced but I was expecting that based on...

I think the exposed aggregate is ugly and rough in the feet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Pool Deck Renovation

Ideally something that can be sprayed over the existing exposed aggregate. It's in good condition and I don't want to really tear it out.

    Pool Deck Renovation

We currently have the pebble concrete (exposed aggregate). What options are there to cover it? I really like the look of Kool Deck but think that is for new concrete only. What have you done, do you like it and what did it cost you?

    Hot tub air bubbles

This happens when the pool is set up to use the spa. I'm not 100% sure how much water comes out of the fitting that the air comes out of. I will check tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Hot tub air bubbles

Not sure how to explain this but I will do my best. When I turn the blower on to make bubbles all it does is create bubbles along the edge where the outlets are and water comes out of the hot tub. Is there a fitting that will push air more toward the middle of the hot tub? Sent from my...

    LAARS LT 400 Heater

I have a LAARS LT 400 natural gas heater for the spa and pool. About a month ago I turned the heater on to use the hot tub and the temperature never got over 80. I had a pool guy come out and he said it was either the flame sensor rod or the thermistor. He changed the flame sensor rod and it...

    Hayward Super II Pump Replacement

So a two speed 2.5 hp with new seals should do the trick? Why do you need the higher HP with a spa? The only time the spa runs alone is when it's being heated.

    Hayward Super II Pump Replacement

The bearings on my motor are going south so I need to replace the motor. i'm having a hard time finding the correct replacement motor online. I have looked at electric motor warehouse and inyopools.com. It appears my motor is a two speed but there is no switch to choose high or low speed so i...

    Sudden Cloudy Water

Never thought about something possibly being in the PVC. Testing everyday is overkill on my pool. I tested everyday when I first started to use BBB but have a good gauge on my chlorine usage.

    Sudden Cloudy Water

I've been thinking about this a little bit. I have been using BBB for 2 years and never had a single problem. I test my water on Tuesday and Friday during swim season which has already started. I was in the pool the day before it turned cloudy and it was clear. Is it possible that my...

    Sudden Cloudy Water

I was testing my new PVC fountain to see if I could cool the water overnight and came home to a cloudy pool. Tested my water and got this: FC 2 Ph 7.5 CC 0 TA 90 CYA 70 I added chlorine to get to FC 8. Any ideas what happened? Filter issue maybe? Thought I would ask before taking the filter apart

    Deck O Seal alternatives

I used Vulkem 45 SSL to seal the joint between the pool coping and the concrete patio. It's very easy to use and apply. If you go to Tremco Sealants website you can actually order samples.

How do you fix a in-ground canned light?

Looks like a spade terminal with a heat shrink. The spade terminal is probably rusted on. Just cut the wire and crimp on a new spade terminal.

    Pool Safety Fence Help

    Light Automation

This might be a long shot based on what I have found searching the interment but I am looking for a way to control the pool and spa lights remotely. I think valve/pump/heater automation is more than I will use or want to spend. I am just wanting to turn the pool and spa lights on without having...

    Dirt in the Pool

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but I'll give it a shot. Each spring when the winds are blowing I tend to get large amounts of dirt blown into my pool. The dirt is to fine for the Polaris bag to trap and the filter (cartridge) doesn't catch it either. Has anyone ever tried...

Tweeking my pump run time for the fall/winter?

I'm in Houston as well and as soon as the water is too cold to swim in I cut the pump time in half. If the spa gets used I will manually run it a little longer.
