True but I believe they are still manufactured in Australia by Compupool. Was looking at a SI 60 and was told they are expected to arrive at the end of the month.

I feel your pain - Been waiting over 5 weeks to replace a cracked cell and power board for a 1 month old CPX-48. Had to pay for an upgrade from a CPSc48 that they couldn't get parts for.

I had the same problem with mine - They finally replaced it with the new CPX48 - much better design - Still cost me $350 but now I have a new 2 year warranty.

I installed mine this week - Looks really nice- Much better done than the old unit. Pool is still covered for the winter so won't know how well it works for a couple months yet.

hey bobodaclown ! Have you got your CPX-48 yet? I have been waiting for weeks and it hasn't shown up yet. Wonder if they are having an engineering or production problem.

Is your pool still open? Closed mine down 3 weeks ago when the power supply went. I liked the fact I could see the gas being generated in the old one. Don't know if it will be visible in the new one. If yours is still open let us know when you hook it up.

You would want it to come on when your pump is running. Should be powered in parallel with your pump.

Since it takes an average over 24 hrs I suspect a few days between calibration is probably best case.

Your unit needs calibration - Go to this thread and download the calibration directions: new-compupool-install-bad-water-temp-and-salt-ppm-readings-t32928.html Ignore calibration should be set at numbers. CPSC48 is way off

Mine reads 69 degrees also. Compupool acnowledges that the temp reading is a known problem.

I'm using the Compupool CPS48 also and find it works very well. Don't count on the temperature readings being accurate and the salt values may need to be re calibrated. It's done a great job on my 25K pool.

Compupool sends there units out wired for 220V. Is your pump wired for 220V?
