    Jandy Aquapure help

I did check all of the connections and the salt and temp works. I have Jandy sending me a new keypad for the SWG unit. Hopefully it is just a bad button on the keypad and this will resolve the issue. Thanks,

    Jandy Aquapure help

I just placed the SWG in boost mode and it seems to work. The power, cell on, and flow lights are illuminated. It looks like the keypad up arrow button may not work. No codes are being displayed on the unit. I guess i'm down to getting a service rep out to troubleshoot and/or repair.

    Jandy Aquapure help

The way that the unit is wired, is that when the pump is off, then the power to the unit is off. That being the case, I have powered off the unit several times. I am not getting a service code, or any apparent error displayed on the unit. I do read through the trouble shooting manual you linked...

    Jandy Aquapure help

The salt level reads 3.7. The green power light is on, the display reads flow, and 0% generation. I went home at lunch just now and tried again with no luck. If I push the down arrow, the unit beeps, but makes no sounds when I push the up arrow.

    Jandy Aquapure help

I installed my Jandy Aquapure 1400 SWG this weekend, and added my salt to the pool. I set the %CL2 generation to 0% for 24 hours as directed in the instructions. Last night I tried to set the % generation to 50%, but was unable to get it to work. When I push the up arrow on the control pad...

Also, I built the pool myself (contractor), so the only warranty that I have is the Pebble Tec. I am going to add the Jack's Magic purple stuff tomorrow per their website instructions.

    New startup

I am trying to decide on the use of the trichlor tabs, or the calcium hypochlorite. I need to raise my CH as well, so I could use the Calhypo and the CYA to do that. Or I could use the trichlor like suggested that will raise my CYA, but what about the CH?

    Plumbing questions?

My pool gunite is complete, and am awaiting coping and tile work this week. I am acting as my own contractor and am getting limited help from the person that I am purchasing equipment from. The roughed-in plumbing consists of the following: 1. Two main drains plumbed to single 2" line. 2. Two...

Starting new pool next week!! - questions & comment

I'm paying about $0.12 per kWh, and if I will need the timer anyways, it looks like a two speed will be the way to go. Since the equipment guy sales Jandy, how does this pump look? http://www.poolsupplyworld.com/poolsupp ... F1.0-2.htm

Starting new pool next week!! - questions & comment

I have been reading about the new Pentair IntelliFlo 3HP Variable Speed pump on this site. Would this not be a good pump choice for my application. Also, would this not eliminate the need for a seperate timer? How would it interact with the Aquarite SWG?

Starting new pool next week!! - questions & comment

Jason, will the pump run continuous or on a timer? I read about the pump running 8 hours a day some places and continuous other places. What's best? Is the Jandy 60 sqft DE filter OK or too big as well? Why is this guy trying to sell me an Aqualogic when I don't have a spa or water feature...

Starting new pool next week!! - questions & comment

I was starting to think that the pump is too large, based upon what i have already seen on this site. Is there a formula that I can use to size my pump? I do not have a spa or water feature. OK, the SWG system will make the wife happy. As far as that goes, the pool guys says that I can't add...
